Went for dinner at 5pm before a show in OC. Initially only two tables were occupied but it took 25 min to get waited on. Waitress was pleasant but overwhelmed. Owner brought bread without a word to anyone, even when we said hello. He saw how long we were waiting but never helped. One person was just playing with her hair in a mirror while we waited..strange. Dinner for 2 was $83 no drinks or apps. 1 dinner penne vodka (meh), 2 dinner lobster ravioli (ok) ($40) no salad included, one dessert. Price on outside menu was $4 when you got your bill. Won’t be back.
Food was awesome. Was here last year and had to visit again when we were in the area. Mozzarella Caprese was outstanding. Not sure where they got the tomato's from but they were incredible
Their touted "waterfront view" consisted of 3 tables on what appeared to be an upper porch. I really don't know what that view was like, because we were lead to a patio out back. I have attached a pic of my view: filthy stairs, and a dirty back door. The waitress was unfriendly at best, and appeared quite put out when we inquired about the price of the specials ($41 for the branzino, $39 for the seafood ravioli). We stuck with their signature dish, a chicken that was supposed to have a demi glaze. The chicken was tough, came in a sauce that tasted like mushroom gravy (not anything like a demi glaze), and was heavy on the salt. My $10 mushroom soup was lukewarm when served (with a dirty spoon; I had to ask for a new spoon as my soup got even colder). Not to worry, though, because I only was able to finish half of it since the taste was so bad.
Expensive place for less-than-mediocre food. Yuk all around.
Food was excellent. Service was great. Will definitely go back.
All very good. Server was very good, but think she should have asked us if we wanted her to pour the wine. Also, why not bring a wine bucket?
What a great experience! We sat outside on front patio and were able to listen to the Friday night concert in Somer's Point. The best part of our experience was the amazing servers. Our waitress, Ola, and her sister, Alba, were incredible! We enjoyed talking to them and their customer care was incredible. It is my second time to this restaurant and it now is my FAVORITE restaurant in the area.
Food is great. Service needed work. Not attentive and and did not follow up as she should have. I think she could be good with additional training. She was very pleasant.
The entrees are very high price. Need to add a side dish with those prices, either a salad of vegetable.
This was our first visit. But, it will not be the last. The food was superb. So happy we tried Buona Vita.
Little hiccup in seating us for requested outdoor seating but was resolved within half hour of reservation time.
Service was horrible. Had reservations at 7:45 and did not get seated until 8:45. Servers rushed our meal along and took our plates off the table without asking us if we were finished- we were still eating. Very disappointing experience. We will not be coming back.
The food and service were excellent. The four of us chose four different entrees and loved them. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly. We were not rushed and our food was delivered in a timely fashion. Unfortunately, there were four loud middle aged men who were loud and obnoxious. The wait staff knew it was rude and apologized but couldn't really do anything about it. I wish I had a recommendation of how to get those kinds of people out of a beautiful, lovely restaurant.
It was a beautiful night out in the balcony. The food and service was great. We had the Arugula and Caesar salads, Bolognese with pappardelli pasta and the chicken parmigiana, absolutely delicious. Great new find. Had great conversations with the staff and met new friends. Definitely will be going back.
Good food and great service.
Dining outdoors in the tent without the volume of noise usually hears indoors, was special. A delightful restaurant run by people that know the restaurant business and provide quality food at fair prices.
Our service was terrible. We left after our appetizers
This is a great find at the Jersey Shore.
It is such a pleasure to find a restaurant that still believes in providing table linens. The food was excellent and will definitely return and pass the word on.
Fresh food with attentive service. It's a BYOB which I wish I knew before we arrived.
Lovely outdoor seating, delicious food, and great service!
We had a really nice dinner outside. The wait staff is warm and efficient which often isn’t the case. Food was high quality! Highly recommend!
We arrived early at 4pm, sign outside says opened at 3pm...we were advised they were not finished setting up but we could sit outside on porch. We said we prefer inside, they sat us in an enclosed like closet with a window. The server seemed upset we ordered a platter to share after she told us of all the specials. So the food was very good however definitely not worth the $29 we paid, we got 2 fork- full of pasta and 1 chicken cutlet.
Dinner was delicious!
Great food, service was excellent, table ready right on time. Owner out front making sure all is well. Parking a little scarce on weekend. We will definitely be back!
Gnocchi and lobster ravioli to die for!
Portions not worth the price, staff was excellent with our child food was good
The restaurant is so quaint and the food and service were amazing!
Excellent food. Cute, quiet and quaint little restaurant. Definitely recommend.
The ambiance was very warming and service was excellent. The menu had a nice variety with some meals of excellent value and some were a little overpriced. The quality of the food was excellent. Overall an extremely pleasant dinner. This was our first time at this restaurant and we will be going back. Knowing what to order next time I think will take the experience to an even higher level.
Consistently delicious, always courteous and friendly. Even at its busiest, you are treated like you are the most important table in the room! Love the food and the atmosphere.
Anniversary. Nothing special. But enjoyable
One of my favorite Italian restaurants at the Jersey shore!
The food and service was very good. The host was not helpful at all needed to call manager and waited 30 minutes for him about table . The manager was very helpful and pleasant.
Great food service slow but good much too noisy
It was great
Almy (?) was a superior waitress
Definitely loud in there as many of the other posts mention. Little pricey for what you get taste wise with the entrees. Desserts were great.
Vignole was awesome, veal chop cooked perfectly.
We can’t wait to return!!
I have enjoyed this restaurant in the past. However, this year I found my entree of Spaghetti a la Vongole tasteless. It was really disappointing . My husband got the special veal chop, which sounded delicious, however, the chop was very fatty and stringy. The sauce that was served again was not very flavorful - certainly not worthy of a special entree. The appetizers were mediocre . I ordered the Brushetta which was advertised with homemade focaccia . However, it was served on the same bread that was on the table. Certainly, not homemade focaccia . It was disappointing and I hesitate to return.
A very special thank you to Remi who always goes above and beyond to make our dining experience amazing. The entire staff do an excellent job even under “crazy” circumstances likely trying to fit everyone inside last night under the tropical storm threat. We may have had to wait a little longer, but it was well worth it. Thank you all. Keep up the great work!
Food, service great. Way too loud to enjoy.
After acknowledging the reservation via text, I received 2 phone calls 45 minutes prior to the reservation to confirm. The last message informed me of a strict hour and 15 minute table time allowance. The first floor of the restaurant looked fairly nice. We were seated on the second floor which looked to be an afterthought. Service was lack luster. We were seated for 15 minutes before our server came to the table. The food we had was unimpressive and lacked flavor. I was hoping that this could be a go to spot, but would not return.
