Lovely. I like the new table service seafood cart. A/C was way too cold. But then it got warmer.

We took a visiting couple here recently. The atmosphere was very pleasant. Maybe a little loud at times for conversation but okay for the most part. We enjoyed both of the brunch bar specials (the eggs Benedict and the omelet bar). The seafood entrees were also tasty. We recommend the seafood mac n. cheese and the shrimp & grits. We feel we have found a new destination for a Sunday afternoon and special evening occasion.

Boatyard was a lovely dining experience. Walking into the restaurant, the ambiance and decor is absolutely beautiful. The hostess seated us right away even though we were early for our reservation. We were seated outside, right on the water. It was a beautiful view of the water and boats. Our waiter was wonderful. He made suggestions, checked on us at all the right times, and even wrote down the name of a bottle of wine that my Mom loved. I will say the food portions are not huge and shouldn’t be ordered to share. Some could say certain dishes are a bit small. My salmon dinner was just enough for one. They gave us two complimentary desserts being that we there celebrating, which was a nice treat. I would definitely return!

The food was ok, but nothing special. The noise level was so high that a normal conversation was impossible.

While the appetizers (we had the conch fritters, seafood mac & cheese, fresh oysters & bimini bread) and our drinks were all delicious, the entrees were very disappointing, especially for the price paid. Three of our party ordered the skirt steak & scallops special, and though the scallops were great, the rest left a lot to be desired. One steak was nearly raw when ordered medium, the other completely overcooked, and the sides of mashed potatoes & asparagus were very bland. My swordfish was very salty & they gave me the wrong sauce, but at that point, I did not want to send another thing back to the kitchen. Our tab was nearly $300 and we were really not satisfied. For that price we could have had a much better meal elsewhere, and it was for a birthday, which makes it even more disappointing. Our waitress was great, as was the manager, and they did acknowledge the slip-ups by sending us a dessert platter on the house, but that really unfortunately doesn't make up for a very expensive, unimpressive meal.

The atmosphere was comfortable. Loved the nautical theme. Terry our waiter was attentive, kind and explained the menu thoroughly. The food was delicious. My husband had the wedge salad to start and it tasted great. For dinner he had the swordfish which was juicy and big and the shiitake lemongrass sauce was out of this world. I had the yellowfin tuna with the lemon herb vinaigrette which was cooked perfectly. We shared the garlic mashed potatoes for a side which were smooth and creamy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for good food and a beautiful ambience.

With the prices you could buy a grill and 3x the amount of steak and grill it yourself :) kidding! Though a bit on the pricey side, the food was excellently cooked and the environment was comfortable and clean... the best $ to value item on the menu is the bimini bread

Food was amazing! A bit pricey, but expected. Service was not on par with the rest of the restaurant. The bartenders were FANTASTIC but our waitress left us wondering if she still knew we were there.

Our multi-generational group of 4 ate outside on the deck, where it was quiet. We had a 4 year old with us, and the server very quickly brought her a child's portion that kept her busy and quiet. It turned out they were offering wine at half price which was a nice surprise. Food was good though nothing particularly memorable. The main thing here for us was good service, nice ambiance out by the boats, good food, convenient parking. It's reliable and easy to like.

Restaurant was really loud... I could hardly talk without yelling. Crab cake was yum! Fish was boring, under-seasoned and blah... please don’t treat Grouper like that. Brussel sprouts were great.

Lord of the Flies! I am torn with this review. Although the food and service were great, the swarm of flies got so bad we could not eat our food (we were on the patio btw). We had to put our napkins over our plates and ask to be moved inside. We were not the only ones with this problem, one table had a kid waving her napkin like helicopter blades. Ruined a long awaited date night and our appetites. Didn’t help that I had a bad stomach ache that night either.

The food was amazing. We had the grouper and the scallops special. Probably the best we’ve had in a long time. We were celebrating my husbands birthday and I even stated that on the reservation. However, they didn’t even acknowledge it, no happy birthday candle or even desert. The service was really slow and disappointing but we really enjoyed the food.

Restaurant is beautiful but the food was soooo blah! Food is too creative and not cooked well. They need to take some ideas from S3 (their sister restaurant), which is delicious!

Went for brunch. Food and service were great. Katrina our server was very friendly, knowledge and attentive. The only issue is that the plates at the omelette station were dirty. Each one I picked up was worse than the one before. They need to check them before bringing them out.

The food was pretty good for this Sunday brunch. The service was too. Had to waive for help too many times. The big problem is the NOISE level. Can't hold a conversation when crowded. Ceilings need padding. Unlikely to return. Too bad. Has potential.

There were four of us for dinner and we chose 3 different entries. Everybody loved what they had. The food was excellent with service to match. the restaurant is very well appointed, love the wooden beams and the boating decor. Definitely up market and well worth a visit. We will be back next time we are in Fort Lauderdale, our new favorite restaurant on the east coast.

Thank you Milt.

We got there 15 minutes earlier to our reservation. Unfortunately the hostess said we had to wait until to be seated even though the room they ended up putting us in was empty the whole time. Really disappointing since we had 5 children that were hungry after a long flight in. Also, the hostesses has poor attitude. Our waitress however was outstanding!! Really loved her kindness and appreciated her concern for us.

I was completely disappointed with our dining experience. Why ask if it’s a special event ? Or if there are any special request if no one cares? While making the reservation on open table, I stated we would be celebrating a birthday. I asked for a table by the window (if possible). We arrived on time and there was a table by the window, however, while our hostess when to make sure it was opened the group behind us, who did not have a reservation was helped by a second hostess who took then straight to the table by the window. Communication between the hostesses or marking the table would have prevented this from happening but I felt they were simply going through the motions. However, for me it was a special occasion. So we get a table with a light pointing directly to my face and the only other option was to move across and now have the view of the kitchen. The manager comes during our meal and asks if everything was “great”, as I started to indicated it was simply ok, he was already turning around and walking away. I think he too was simply going through the motions. Dinner for my mother and I was $200. We had some oysters, shrimp cocktail, the paella and filet mignon with the lobster tail, plus drinks. The food was good. When the time came for dessert we were pretty full so we said no to dessert. You would think the restaurant brings a bite of something! at least for a silly candle but nope! Nothing! Not even a happy birthday... again why bother asking if it’s a special occasion if no one cares! The atmosphere is cold and the service was mediocre! A mother’s birthday is a special thing, I regret having brought her to Boatyard! Extremely disappointed
