We had a party of 14 which was originally only going to be 9 but the wait staff rolled with it seamlessly and had a wonderful experience! The food was good, the ambiance was perfect, and the service superb!
View is fantastic and so is the fish and chips
This is the neighborhood restaurant for us... and we always root for it to be really good. Sometimes it is. Sometimes it’s just so-so. This time, it was just so-so — the food, that is. The service is reliably good and cocktails are typically good. Maybe best as a neighborhood bar?
Blue water bistro at Leschi is an exceptional dining Restaurant. They never fail with service, quality of food, or pricing of food items! I absolutely love the Bluewater Bistro st Leschi!
We went for my daughters birthday. We waited a long time for the server to stop over 10 minutes. Someone did drop water. When the waiter finally stopped he say sorry. We ask to see a wine list, we order a cheese broad, our drinks and dinner. Drinks took a long time to come to the table. Our server dropped the girls drinks, one was a Shirley temple it’s was mostly sprite and tasted watered down went it arrived. We didn’t send it back. Meanwhile the server was looking a a corkscrew ( our bottle was a screw top.) The cheese board can out about 2 minutes after our wine was open. It was a good spread. The food took quite a while over 20 minutes. The food was just okay, we ask for our server to come over our younger daughter’s milk was spoiled and we needed refills on water and other drinks. Our meal was just okay overall. No body ever ask if we were celebrating anything the manager never can over. We were done this point, no boxes were needed. We wouldn’t go back.
We went there for my sister's birther. The table was already set up for us. The waitress was all smile, very accommodating and patient with all our requests, which included very different preferences from three generations. We ordered sliders and cauliflower for appetizer. The slider was juicy and just the right doneness. The prime rib, ribeye, and NY steak we had ordered were all as good as the ones from the fancy steak house next door with a gentler price tag. Everyone had a wonderful time. I live in the neighborhood, and loved to bring guests to Bluwater. It never disappoints.
Our wait staff was very good. The man setting up the (TV) monitors on Thursday, Sept 12 (eve) for the Presidential Debate was not paying attention to feedback from female customers to troubleshoot issues of table monitors in the booths. Perhaps setup should have been done earlier in case of glitches? He didn't manage the stress very well due to our monitor volume was not turned up even though he was using a remote. We told him a few times the volume didn't increase. Reason: The volume SETTING was turned off & he didn't take the time to check it and told us verbally he had already turned up the volume. It took our waitress to figure it out while troubleshooting it with us. After a few requests it was finally resolved.
We love the menu’s tasty, visually attractive food. Good job always! Lovely environment too.
The service, food, and view were amazing. Our hostess/greeter was rude though. We went to the stand and indicated we had a reservation and she snidely/sarcastically said “oh, how exciting, you have a reservation.” She then took us to our table without another word. Even if reservations aren’t necessary, those who make them on open table need to indicate this or we are listed as “no shows” and don’t get points. Not sure what her problem was, but it was not appreciated.
Great value for the crab dinner. Very late on the reservations.
Good food good prices excellent views
Great view of the lake, nice setting, good for happy hour or Friday aftert work dinner
They ran out of the advertised special we came for by 20:00. Bad kitchen planning.
Went for the King Crab dinner, the service was excellent, the crab was generous and very favorable would recommend to all crab lovers,
I love the location and the atmosphere and view from the restaurant.
More than enough good food, a great drink, and a wonderful view
Great wait staff. Beautiful setting. Really good food.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal there. We ate outside so the noise level was relative to the street and lake noise but not bad...we were easily able to carry on a conversation. I liked that it was casual and a good value. Our server, Nora, was WONDERFUL. She made our evening.
Our waitress was great and provided excellent service however the person who greets you at the check in area when you first walk in was in a sour mood and very rude. It appears that management may not be treating them well. Also the macaroni and cheese had so much butter that it we were not able to eat it and just took it to go and through it away. I have never tasted so much butter in mac and cheese in my life. It overwhelmed the dish and made it so greasy.
Brunch during Seafair weekend has become a tradition and this year’s visit was enjoyable. We had a quiet table outside. Everyone ‘s food was delicious and portions generous.
New menu, miss the spinach artichoke dip, and breakfast. Dessert was amazing!
Fantastic service for our large birthday party!!!
Great location! Service was good, food was just so-so
The service was great...the food was alright. My wife had the Salmon great veggies and potatoes.
The the thing that I did not like was the the noodles served with Halibut. That was a very poor choice to serve with fish. I love halibut and i hated that dish.
I am a regular at Bkuwater and always love it. I have been there for a while. This Saturday I was there and several wait staff were new to me. Our server was J. She was warm, attentive, and thoughtful. She made our brunch extra enjoyable. My brother and sister all commented that we should go more often. Our food was excellent, the price was reasonable, the choices were plenty, the view was breathtaking, and the service was top-notch, we couldn't be happier with Bluwater!
We were lucky to get a window seat with gorgeous views of the lake. We went on a Wednesday night when they featured their king crab special. It was a good value and the crab was delicious. Too bad they were out of seafood forks (maybe purchase more?)and we had to pick out the crab with regular forks. Not a dealbreaker, though. Although it's rather noisy, and not a place I'd go for a romantic dinner, it's the perfect place and location to bring out of town guests. Stunning views of Ranier on a nice day. And good food and service with vegetarian options will have us return.
BluWater Bistro is such a hidden gem! It's a beautiful restaurant right on the water with great views. The food was very good, we all got the King crab dinner which is an amazing deal for $36! The service was impeccable! And in such a cute neighborhood! I will absolutely be going back.
Great meal. Came over on the boat. While the public dock is exposed to a lot of wave action I was able to tie off without any damage. The restaurant was great. The service was attentive and the food excellent. Overall good value and everyone left happy. Thanks for a great evening! We will be back.
Very chill! Love the location and the view. Food is good service is good! :)
We went on Wednesday evening for the crab legs. It was really busy, but our table of 9 got great service. The crab legs were succulent and the rest of the food was tasty, too!
We originally had reservations for about 20 people for 2 bdays. When we got there, it was closer to 30+. They quickly found some extra space and made it happen. Our waitress, Shasta (I think that was her name) was awesome, handled our big group very well, split up everyone's checks (just that alone was amazing)... Didn't get her bussers names, but they they were on it as well. Thanks again for accommodating us!
Great crab dinner al fresco for summer!
The service was unfriendly and unresponsive. One of our entrees had egg shells in it and we complained. Yet had to bring it up again. The server finally enquired with the manager. The manager then suggested that they take the drink off the bill (not the entree). It was bizarre! No apologies from the manager either.
Seemed like a good idea; take dad to lunch on the water. Patio was nice, altho noisy due to street noise. New server. Took forever to get our drinks, order our food, have the food served, and pay our bill. My chicken caprese sandwich was a disaster. Tough chicken, little flavor and dry bread. The chorizo bowl was fine, but only 3 crumbles of chorizo. Fish & chips was okay, except the fries were cool and wobbly. Probably won't go back any time soon.
When we were seated there were only a few diners besides us. We waited 5+ minutes and then had to ask an employee to see our server. She came and took our beverage order and had to come back 2 more times as she forgot to bring everything. We ordered our food and it came out one dish at a time with 5+ minutes between service. We were offered the wrong dish twice. A different person delivered each dish. One person in our party ordered the Avocado Scramble. It came with 1 slice of avocado? You would think that if the name of the dish is Avocado Scramble there might be some avocado included in the dish? We had to ask another employee to get refills on our beverages. After finishing our food we waited to get our check from our server. She seemed to have disappeared so I had to go find her to pay the bill.
Not a very good experience.
Great experience from start to finish. Our server was incredibly friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.
Food and service were very good. Enjoyed the atmosphere and view.
We came in just for dessert. It was very romantic. Other than a obnoxious couple nearby it was a very pleasant experience. Our server was also sweet and courteous. Would come back.
I love this place! Food, service and ambiance is perfect. The staff are always very nice about letting us linger over our food and even after when we have consumed everything. We come here regularly for these reasons.
Came here for Father’s Day and it was awful.
It took FOREVER to get our food, and when it came, it was one of the worst meals I’ve had at a restaurant.
The pizza I ordered came out before any other food. The appetizer came at the same time as the main meals. They made all of the Caesar salads using blue cheese dressing (yuck!) so those had to be sent back.
Burger was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. My sister in law barely ate half.
Prime rib dip was also one of the worst. Very bland. Pizza was a joke. I ate a few bites and took the rest to go and made it better myself the next day at home.
Only decent item was the wings, but I think all they did was slather them in store bought sweet chili sauce.
Our server was very apologetic and she did take a good amount of money off our bill.
I chose this place because they had a dock we could pull up to with our boat.
However, I will never be coming back. There are plenty of better lakeside dining establishments.
