This was my first visit and I am very glad of the chouce I made to try this restaurant.
-Wonderful staff
-Excellent food and drinks
-Nice and comfortable atmosphere

Will be returning. Our waitress was nice but the bartender was our superstar! Clearing our tables and service the best drinks!

We are customers at Blue Crab Grill about once a month- take out or dine in. There’s always a lot of food for the money! My Crab Imperial wasn’t at all what I expected- yes plenty of crab- but it wasn’t Crab Imperial! Lumps of crabmeat were quite nice but none of the usual delicate sauce etc that’s baked in a special dish. Really bland and kind of tasteless. My husbands seafood Gumbo was great - plentiful and spicy.

Lunch was very good and service was great. We found this restaurant on Open Table and will definitely return when in the Newark area.

We went for my husband's birthday and it was great. The food was delicious. Service was good.. and they even gave him a dessert for free. Great experience!

It is a good place to eat but needs a larger menu.

New Year’s Eve..... first time there was a great experience

New Years- we’ve been coming here for years and this time was just as awesome as it was when we first came 18 years ago. Amazing food- awesome service, great value for the money and great bartender! Took a couple here that had never been and they were blown away. Fantastic restaurant!

This was our first time at the Blue Crab Grill and definitely not our last! As a UD parent, we've heard so much about it so we wanted to try it. The food was AMAZING!! Some of the best seafood we've ever had. The waiter was SUPER nice and very attentive. I would highly recommend it!

Delicious seafood and friendly service. We particularly liked the salmon, served with a Mediterranean mix of tomatoes, capers and olives. Very yummy! The fried shrimp were a nice size, butterflied with a very light crispy batter.
We have not been disappointed in this restaurant and have been here several times now.

It was enjoyable simple relaxing have dinner is quiet setting.

Blue Crab is our newest and favorite find. Have tried several dishes. All of them great. Service - excellent! Love the soft music playing in the background. Not loud, like so many restaurants. You can actually carry on a conversation without shouting.

I have been aiming to visit this restaurant for some time. It was well worth the wait. The food was fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. The server and chefs were extremely attentive and accommodating. The atmosphere was clean and safe with proper precautions. I would love to see the decor and atmosphere updated, because it did not match the excellent quality of the food! I am always looking for good restaurants to take out-of-town company. Will return again.

Been coming to this place ever since opened. Love the seafood. Can not recall ever having a bad meal. Serve has usually Ben Brest. Nicole waited on us this time. She probably does not remember us but she aired us many times over the years and has always been great.

Every thing was good, but to reserve a table you forced me to use this open table which has now sent me at least 4 emails. I wanted to have a good meal, not get inundated with emails. Please stop all emails to me, and do not sell them to anyone else. Likely I will never dine with you again because you didn’t respect my privacy.

The service was extremely slow for our table. The people that came in 15 minutes after us got their food and packed to go boxes while we were still waiting for our meals. It was my husband’s 40th birthday celebration and they ruined it.

Always delicious. Smoked seafood platter was outstanding.

Blue crab is our favorite go to place for seafood. Meals are always delicious and the wait staff is friendly and have always given us excellent service.

The food was cold, the server was not up to speed on the menu and very inattentive.

Food was fantastic but we found ourselves waiting for drinks (water or alcohol) more often than not. Would still dine there again.

This was so disappointing!! We have dined here several times and have enjoyed our experience. This was entirely different. It took over 30 minutes to get our drinks. When our meal arrived, my order was barely warm and my husband’s order of crab legs could not come out of the shell to eat. When we sent back, he ordered a cup of soup (yes they charged) it was not hot!! Overall a terrible experience, and service!!! Doubt we will return after no management interaction for the less than optimal service and food.

This is a hidden little gem we found recently. Have had dinner about 5 times now and the food is always excellent. Service always great. And we can actually talk normal, unlike some restaurants that are so loud you cannot even hear the person next to you. Love the coastal decor. One of our new found favorite restaurants.

Very enjoyable, excellent seafood and outstanding crab cakes. Service is a little slow (it is almost as if they are waiting between courses) but overall an excellent experience.

I’m from Maryland and the crab cake doesn’t come close to any Maryland restaurant.

Great experience taking our Blue Hen out to dinner for his birthday! The appetizers were excellent and the dinner portions were gigantic, which our boys loved! Thank you for the complementary dessert for our son’s birthday. We highly recommend this restaurant and we will return! Thank you!

The ran bisque was simply a thinned white sauce with large pieces of crab in it. The crab imperial was simply a ramekin filled with crab. The crab meat was very good but the recipes seemed like short cut versions of the real thing, lacking the depth of flavor that each of these traditional dishes generally provide.

Ashley was my bartender/ server and she was awesome!!!!! She works Sat, Sun and Tuesday. I am driving back from Philly with my mom again next weekend as I really enjoyed myself.

First time here and we will be coming back as offen as we can. The food was outstanding. The service was great

Everything was great although the sword fish portion was extremely tiny for $28.

Always great. The four onion soup is a must have (if you like onions).

tables were spaced well. slow service, most of the food was good some were at room temp and not hot enough but taste was good

Ordered the surf and turf & the lobster tail was bad and smelled TERRIBLE ! I don’t how the chef didn’t notice the disgusting smell of the lobster tail ....... no manager or chef came over to apologize for the bad lobster tail . Free dessert should have been in order or money off my bill but it was not ! I won’t be dining here again .

Cute storefront Restaurant in a Shopping plaza. Food was excellent and service was good. Nice decor and comfortable seating.
