I have always loved the Black Angus. I have been going there for more than 30 years. Now my great grandchildren want to go there on their special days with Grammy. There is always more food than we can eat and the servers are especially attentive without being underfoot. Want a great place to have a special treat with loved ones, this is the place.
Had a great time celebrating my birthday.
The price is worth it. The food was excellent, the steak was great and juicy.
The service was excellent from the seating until the end.
Black Angus in Lakewood has always been a Four Star + for us, even when they are busy.
We've dine here quite a bit and absolutely love the Campfire feast for 2! The price has gone up over the years, but it is still a great deal! I really like it that there are a number of options so if you want to eat lighter you can. Definitely love being able to select the dessert! We had a very enjoyable dinner and are looking forward to coming again.
Bugs... improperly cooked and spoiled food... noisy seating next to kitchen.
Started off with multiple bugs on our table which I believe were falling From the ceiling... we had to crush and kill the bugs ourselves and while we offered to sit at another table it was literally the table next to it. The tall booths were filthy you wouldn’t let your head touch it so you’d have to lean forward a bit.
One staff was sick and sneezing and coughing in the back because we never saw the sick staff come out it’s likely he was in the back cooking everyone’s food.
First up was a salad ... it was nice and chilled and a decent dressing but the majority of the salad had turned. Another server overheard me and said that they’d eat the brown salad it’s only because it was fresh it was now that color... confused I just stopped eating the spoiled food and waited for the main course which I ordered the prime rib 1 pound medium rare.
Meats are supposed to be cooked to order so common sense and a set standard should be understood. As I said I ordered a medium rare 1lb cut of prime rib. I recieved an approximate 12oz thin cut prime rib that was so under cooked the sides were not even seared instead they were mostly removed and what remained was covered with a black grease and light seasoning which I assume is their dry rub which all could be removed by spreading it off the steak with a knife. Oh well I got a really rare steak not really a deal breaker but the taste was gamey and the meat had clearly been spoiled or mixed with meat that had spoiled. It was miserable and the staff clearly we bewildered when I asked if they could try cooking another because I clearly wasn’t going to get myself sick eating something spoiled.
My server did a decent job it’s not her fault the food is awful however it was not ok to not get at least another steak that wasn’t spoiled and actually cooked to order. and no I didn’t eat the majority of the prime rib before complaining just 1bite.
My wife and I both had steaks. Mine was done just right, but it was thick and cooked fine. My wife had a small filet and had order it medium (just a little pink), however, probably because it was so thin it was badly over cooked.
The chef should realize that thin steaks cooked faster. On the plus side my dog enjoyed it.
Campfire Feast left us wanting for nothing. The true Full Meal Deal!
I love Black Angus. I think the kitchen was just overwhelmed but both of our tables rib dinners were cold along with the Mac and cheese. The quesadilla for my daughter had way to much cheese on it and we never got our dessert cookie. I’ll be back of course I can’t say the same for my family.
We've been going to Black Angus for many years already. It's conveniently located and very good food! Your prices have recently gone up, but the food is still excellent. Hopefully you will remain constant in your quality!
It was very busy Saturday night and the staff had to work very hard to get people seated. Once seated we could not have asked for better
There was a short wait before seating and it was worth it. The food was delicious with great flavor.
The service was excellent. I will return to this restaurant in the future.
A date night for my husband and I. Always love the Black Angus!! Always treated very well and the food is always good!!
Horrible dining experience. Very disappointed since this has been a favorite for my family and I but this particular location was such a let down. Service received a two star only because our server made the 3 hour tolerable.
Great and luxurious experience. With amazing staff & swerved us in an expeditious manner.
Took my gf for valentines, arrived early but still seated nearly half hour after our reservation. Service was ok, took too long for drinks and way too long for the food. Neither steak was done as ordered, mine barely warm. Ordered lobster out for the first time in 30 years as a treat, wont do that again. Turned out I did it from the menu but for that night it was just $10 to add a tail to any entree, would have been nice if our server would mention the SPECIALS. Sadly my second visit ever is my last.
Reservation are not on time we got a table after 830 our reservation was for 8 and we got there at 735 took 20 min just to get a Pepsi once we were seated and we ordered a well done steak and got a rare steak ☹️ our appetizer was cold poor service and overbooked
Overall the food was good and the service was too. It was Valentine's day and as expected it was very crowded. The reservation time seemed to be pretty irrelevant (we were seated 20-30 min after our reservation time). The staff at the entrance showed great humor and patience even though there were probably 30 persons or so waiting for seats and I assume with reservations.
We showed up 15 minutes late for our reservation on Valentines Day and they still took us! We saw others get turned away. I’m happy they took us and provided excellent service. Great steak and a beer with my lady! Great dinner!
Had to be one of the worst services I have ever had at a restaurant. The food was cold by the time it got to our table. The waitress didn’t check up on us that much. The only highlight of the night was that the buser was on point. Went above and beyond is duties.
If this were my first trip to this Black Angus location, I would not recommend it to others. However since my wife and have been there many times before, I will consider this a rare time it was not a great experience.
It was Valentine's Day, I get it that it was busy. I also like to preface this by saying I had worked in the restaurant industry for about 4 years. The server, Kody S, seemed more inclined to give customer service to others vs our table. He seemed more attentive and talkative to other tables vs ours through out our time there. The night started out by ordering non-alcoholic drinks and an appetizer. The drinks came however the drink my wife ordered, Hawaiian Avalanche, apparently had been sitting around a bit since the icy blended drink was more liquid then frozen.
Kody took our order. First my soup came. I waited a few minutes expecting my wife's salad to arrive shortly after the soup. After some coaxing from my wife to not wait, I ate it. Kody came asking how the soup was and I asked him if my wife's salad was coming soon. He had a surprised look on his face as if it was forgotten. Within a few minutes the salad arrived with the dressing container tipped over on the plate and the salad appeared thrown on the plate...so the presentation was not the best in our opinion. Next came the appetizer and within a minute or two of the appetizer arriving, the main course came. So the timing was a bit off. The appetizer and main courses were great.
Overall we enjoyed our Valentines evening. My wife’s lobster came to the table cold. The server brought her another one in less than 5 minutes which was warmer. My prime rib was delicious. Server was attentive without being annoying. The reservation I had made said we would be sitting in the bar- which I preferred but when we arrived they said there weren’t any tables available in the bar so we were seated in a booth. Again the evening was enjoyable although expectations changed once we arrived. Still we were happy with our meal and the service.
Great food with excellent service. We were seated on time and received service promptly.
Arrived early and had drinks at the bar. Our table was on time at 5:30. Our waitress was great. I order a filet, it was VERY dry and tasted burnt, and my baked potato was hard as a brick, wasn’t cooked. My husband order the prime rib and lobster. The cook forgot the lobster had to wait for it. The prime rib had a good flavor it was maybe 1/2 inch thick, looked like something you would get at a fast food restaurant. Was very disappointed with the food especially for the price. Will not go back there. We usually go to the Puyallup location but they didn’t have a table at that time.
Service from Cody was great. Food was cold, bread was burnt, and when I asked for melted butter the butter came out cold and still in scoop form.
Haven't been there in years. Just what I expected. Good service and food. Would definitely return.
Food well prepared and delicious. Prime rib was cold but replaced with nice warm slice upon request. Server was okay - just slow and forgetful.
Service, impeccable. Meal, wonderful. Prices went up about 5%. We still love Black Angus.
I've been eating at Black Angus restaurants for over 45 years and have never been disappointed. That is, until tonight. My wife and I went to the Black Angus in Lakewood, WA tonight to celebrate our 45th anniversary. Our server was Eric. We ordered the sampler appetizer, 2 garden salads, 2 rib eye steaks and the chocolate fudge cake for dessert. My wife had a glass of red wine. I drank water.
The appetizer arrived shortly after it was ordered but without any plates. I was able to eventually flag down our server and asked for some small plates so we didn't have to eat the appetizer from the serving plate.
Our server brought our salads along with the appetizer plates. At that point, we'd had just begun to eat our appetizer so our salads just sat there untouched until we were done with the appetizer.
However, before we were done eating our appetizer and before we'd had a chance to even touch our salads, our steaks arrived. From the time our appetizer arrived at the table to the time our steaks arrived wasn't even 10 minutes.
We ate our steaks and baked potatoes before they got cold. My wife picked at her salad but I didn't get a chance to eat mine. I couldn't believe it when, without even batting an eye, our server asked if I wanted a box so I could take my salad home.
Our steaks were just OK. My wife ordered her steak rare and it came out fine. I ordered mine medium rare. What I got was a 3/8" thick steak that was cooked medium at best but was almost medium well. At that point though, we were both just anxious to get done eating and leave.
I do have to say that our server did take my water glass away to refill it once without my having to ask for more water. However, he refilled it with iced tea instead of water and brought it back to the table.
When our bill showed up, our server just dropped it on our table without saying a word as he passed by.
It was the worst meal I've ever eaten at a Black Angus.
It was not a very happy 45th anniversary.
We sat next to kitchen and long wqit wasn't crowd also that only allowed me to use the free loster with stark dinner 2 of my meqls and I had 4 it said any and she said no it was only for the New York which was wrong when I got home and re read we will not go back that at all. Wrost 160 spent ever.
Went here to celebrate my sons' 50th. Great meal. Perfect service!
I HAD A COUGON FOR 19.99 PC4-FLS 132 8574 HE SAID YOU DONE HAVE 19.99 DENNER
The Campfire Feast is always a hit with our family. The Wagon Wheel Sampler is a must, and the upgraded sides like the roasted Brussels Sprouts are worth it. The chocolate cake with the fudge and ice-cream are delicious. We usually come in for this at least a few times a year.
We enjoy going to Black Angus in Lakewood because it is close to home and a good value. Service is good and while our waiter was very busy, he was attentive to our needs. My steak was a little tough, but overall the entire meal was very good.
Our Waiter was Amazing. The food was very flavorful and exactly as we ordered.
Delicious as always! Just wish they would update their complimentary bread as it's a bit on the dry side.
We enjoy this Black Angus -- normal very good Steak dinner!
My only complaint is I asked for my steak to be well done because I’m pregnant and it was medium well but they quickly corrected it and I was happy.
Steak was cold. Mac and cheese did not taste good. Chicken strip appetizer not good. Entrance smelled like mold. Over not a good experience at Black Angus. I used to love going there.
