Bis on Main
Best cod I’ve ever had! Great, attentive service!
Food was good but not amazing. Service was ok. We each ordered salads and they brought them out at completely different times which was weird. Food was good wand dessert was very good. Lighting inside was VERY bright and it was pretty loud. Definitely better places in the area to go.
Joe keeps this restaurant special as always - such a treat every time!
ALWAYS, IT IS A PLEASURE TO DINE AT BIS ON MAIN - JOE IS ALWAYS INVITING, REGARDFUL AND I APPRECIATE HOW THOUGHT-FULL THE ATTENDANTS ARE WITH US!
The food and service were excellent! I highly recommend the halibut.
My wife visited the restaurant a month ago and said the scallops were the best she had ever enjoyed. We decided to have a birthday dinner there on this visit. The chef made a scallop dish for my wife about as enjoyable as the last one. Excellent repeat performance. Thank you.
The food was delicious, the ambiance delightful, but the server was a bit snooty and her smile was appeared forced. If we come back, we’d likely ask to not be seated in her section
Excellent service and food. Looking foward to next time
One of our favorite go to spots! Consistently delicious!
Thank you, Joe, for this lovely, white table clothed icon in the middle of our busy city...and for richard!
Lovely, quiet dinner for three in one of back dining rooms...perfect for conversation and delicious food.
Dinner was absolutely delicious. The service was top notch.
It did get a bit loud once the area we were in was full.
We will definitely be back the next time we’re in the area.
The service at Bis was outstanding but the food was just good, nothing stood out and it was fairly expensive. The noise level was high!
The server was so weird too much talking too much touching us & keeps asking as everything is good everything thing is fine how was the food & so on even after we paid & got up & planning to leave come back with touching our shoulders & got more questions or us ... very uncomfortable & weird..
Reservations was June 17 under Samar for Nagla’s Bday
Love Bis!! Always great food and love that it is local-best place on the Eastside!!
It took over 30 minutes to get our appetizer and over an hour and half to get our main entrees. I would understand if its a restaurant that serves a lot of people but this was a small restaurant and there were only a few tables being used. Once they gave us our check they were very fast at charging my card though...Ridiculous!! The food was bland we got the Cod. Barely any flavor and is something I could make myself. Nothing special worth paying that much.
Love this restaurant !
Excellent place as always. Enjoyed the Dry Rub New York steak. Can’t ever go wrong here!
AS always, Bis on Main excels at everything it does. I just wish they would remodel the front dining room to get rid of the 1950's coach seating. I get seated with my wife at 90 degrees to me, so I'm talking to her left ear. While she's looking directly into the face of some woman at the adjacent table, so they end up staring at each other.
Other than that, wine list, menu, service, etc are all excellent. AGAIN.
Honestly, given its reputation and hefty price tag, I was disappointed.
We dined on a Tuesday evening and it wasn't very busy. While we were seated quickly, it seemed to take too long for our server to get back to us for our drink order, at which time we also ordered appetizers.
The drinks came out quickly enough, although not that quickly considering it was two glasses of champagne and a Scotch, neat.
Our server came back for our entree orders before the apps came out, which was fine, but then we waited.
Finally, food came out ... but the entrees. No sign of the appetizers we'd hoped to be nibbling on. Our server confessed that he'd forgotten to order them, but the entrees were ample enough that we were probably better off not stuffing ourselves to the gills.
He brought us a creme brulee as an "I'm sorry about the mix-up."
Three of the four of us have worked in restaurants so we know things happen, but at this type of high-end (and higher-priced) restaurant, they shouldn't.
Oh, and the food? It was good. Nothing that blew our socks off, but properly prepared. My wife raved about her diver scallops. My crab cake and mussels were tasty. Our son's duck breast was also tender and tasty. Just nothing as stellar as I thought it should have been for a $300+ dinner.
It’s my go to spot. The food is consistently delicious.
Greg was very good waiter. The food was prepared well and presentation was excellent.
Perhaps we were expecting more of a french bistro style experience but felt that the execution of the dishes lacked finesse and attention to detail. The service while by no means inattentive felt somewhat rushed - granted it was a busy Saturday night.
We had 7 in our party all like different foods. They met all our needs and more.
I also added that we were celebrating our anniversary when booking the reservation, never heard a peep, would have been nice. Server was not on point, was more engaged with the neighboring table, while we needed service. Expect more attentive service given the amount spent at the establishment. Food was great though!
Comfortable, great food, great service! Highly recommended.
Bis on Main is one of our favorite restaurants. We love the service, location and food. The crispy garlic chicken is one of the highlights on the menu. The menu varies enough to be interesting but the classics remain on the menu. I would highly recommend this as a date night location.
Excellent food and an extensive wine list (by the glass as well as by the bottle). Great for business dinners as well.
Fabulous restaurant with valet parking in the back! The Ahi starter was superb as was the soup of the night. All of our meals were done to perfection and we each ordered something different. Great for something quick in the bar or a special occasion. Very versatile restaurant - always something on the fresh sheet to pique your curiosity!! Really nice wine list, too. Enjoy......
Delicious meal with the family. I would recommend the chicken.
Unfortunately the waiter nor the maître de knew how to process my Open Table Award Certificate.
Great food. Really noisy.
Our server was new, but he tried hard. The salads were a bit of a joke - iceberg lettuce drenched in blue cheese dressing for $10. The main dishes were good - my wife had the Salmon special and I had the Filet. The filet was cooked perfectly. For dessert, we ordered a Vanilla Bean Crème Brulee and the Molten Chocolate Souffle. The crème brulee was excellent, but the souffle was overcooked so the chocolate wasn't molten.
Wonderful food paired with excellent service . Nice wine selection, pleasant ambience. Perfect place for special occasion.
Good food and service; very very loud atmosphere
Been coming for many years it’s my go to always for a great meal and ambience
Good was great, restaurant was chilly, would have felt more welcoming of a little warmer.
Bis on Main is a nice restaurant. It is a good place for fine dining. Foods were excellent and service was top notch. We were seated quickly without much waiting. We ordered lamb shank and crispy chicken. Both were delicious. I would have preferred Lam Shank. Crispy chicken could be a bit more tender. Overall it was a good experience. We will be back again.
Food was awesome, second time here for special occasion and maintained the same high quality both times.
I believe it is one of the better restaurant on Main street. Noise level depending on which section you seat in. I prefer the "inner" room which is quieter.
Have always loved Bis. Food is always well-prepared with daily specials to intrigue as well. Garlic chicken is one of my favorites as well as scallops...and actually most of what's on the menu! I came with two friends for lunch and of course we got talking. The staff did not push us to hurry...nor to leave when we went beyond their "lunch time". So gracious. And a wonderful relaxing spot.
