Bentley's Oyster Bar & Grill
Offered the chance to restore Bentley’s to its former glory when it came up for sale in 2005, Chef Richard Corrigan embraced the challenge. Once again opening its doors to great critical acclaim serving oysters, fish and seafood in much the same way it has since 1916. Linen-clad tables, a wooden floor and Richard’s art collection adorn the walls creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill also has two beautiful private dining rooms. The Crustacea seats up to 14 and the Swallow Street Rooms, with it's own private bar and street entrance, seats up to 60.

I would absolutely recommend Bentley Oyster Bar and Grill. The service was amazing and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and flavoursome. One of the best restaurants we have been to.
The food, as ever, was excellent. Staff knowledge of the daily specials was very good and made my guests choice easy!
Treat for a friend. Always a good experience
The locvation is convenient and the quality of the food excellent. Service was a bit slow but good enough. Not having been out in London for a while, I found the food expensive and the wine prices beyond belief.
The ambiance is great but i would only return for a very special event.
If these prices are typical of London Restaurants, they will end up pricing them selves out of the market and have to rely on foreign visitors who can enjoy the sweak pound to buffer the price in sterling.
Scottish sirloin steak was very tough due to scraggy meat.
I couldn’t eat almost 1/3 of steak.
A traditional must-go, for our family now in the 3rd generation - and still one of the best places for seafood
Always good food and service, menu has big variety of well prepared dishes. Wine list is remarkable with a wide range of medium to high priced wines
I love the old style atmosphere
The staff were lovely and helpful. I'm not the biggest seafood fan but I booked this for my partner's birthday and everything we ordered was wonderful.
We found this place in open table and it was a delightful place, food was fantastic, portions were just right, overall great and service was top quality! I will definitely come back next time I’m in London. My only issue was I ordered a half order oysters, got nine, asked about that they said it was probably because some were small and they would fix it in the bill and they charged for 12. I saw that after I had paid and left the place.
Service is good. Food is awful, terribly bad.
Very good ser
Fabulous lunch time spot to celebrate a wedding anniversary. My wife and I could not have picked better. Food and service exceptional, Thank You
Dear SteveR, Thanks for leaving us such a wonderful review. We are thrilled that you loved your experience; we look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon. Kind Regards, Bentley's Management Team
Lovely food anfd wine and great service. Will go again.
Dear ChristineC We are thrilled that you loved your experience; thank you for your kind words and we look forward to hopefully seeing you again soon. Kind Regards, Bentley's Management Team
The fish wasn’t fresh and food was bland overall. It was an extremely overpriced and disappointing experience. I will not return to this restaurant.
I was most pleased to parttake in a very enjoyable pre theatre meal at Bentleys. Surprised I had to ask for the pre theatre menu which eventually arrived but as always it was worth the visit and the wait.
Bentley's is well located and provides a great atmosphere to discuss business or to enjoy a purely social occasion .
Bentleys was everything we expected it to be. The oysters were beautiful, really enjoyed the oyster and the half grilled lobster was melt in the mouth. The wine was delicious, we had a lovely Chardonnay that went so nicely!! Loved everything about it and will definitely return at some point!!
Magnificent food in a relaxed, unstuffy setting. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, the seafood is achingly fresh and beautifully cooked, and the wine list is extensive and sensibly priced. Oysters, lobster and sashimi/ceviche were all delicious!
Our first visit to Bentley’s for over 10 years (we live in Scotland). It is now a firm favourite!
As it was a special occasion they very thoughtfully put us at an upstairs table at the window which was perfect.
The dinner was simply superb and the Sommelier was brilliant recommending a fabulous Pernend-Vergelesses white burgundy. What a memorable dinner and wine !
What we really liked was the relaxed, friendly style of the front of house team while still being totally professional.
On our next visit to London we we certainly book a table a Bentleys.
There is nothing NOT to like about this place. It’s superb on every single level. Absolutely fantastic everything !!! Beautiful inside and out and everything they do and how they treat you is fantastic. Very classy. Try not to show up in trainers and jeans, even the staff looks great !!
Couldn’t have asked for more. The waiters and waitresses went above and beyond for us. The food was absolutely delicious and the pre/post theatre dining menu was brilliant value. Will definitely be returning.
Great food and service.
Fantastic sea food and service. Would highly recommend.
Lovely seafood. Great service, which made the experience even better. Would love the hot platter to be slightly bigger for value. Haven't had such lovely lobster in a few years.
Would definitely go back.
Cold half lobster with mayonnaise was particularly delicious!
We had a wonderful time , friendly staff, food was mouthwatering the wine was lovely .
Perfect night and cannot wait to return thank you
Absolutely fabulous restaurant. Nice tables outside on a lovely day and you wouldn't guess you were in the middle of London. Food is divine, also wnes and service.
The food is lovely, the place is looking somewhat tired in my opinion. We booked the pre-theatre dinner set menu and on arrival got the main menu, we weren't out for full on dinner so had to attract attention to get the set menu which didn't appear to be anywhere for a few minutes. All that said, the food (from the set menu) was great, the staff lovely.
Excellent service and great location the dining room upstairs is discreet and table well spaced out
Food was excellent both in taste and presentation and wine list impressive for choice would very happily recommend this restaurant for business ...or pleasure ambience suits either purpose
Staff attentive all round and ploite
A very enjoyable experience
delicious food sitting outside but with only 1 bottle of inexpensive wing bill nearing £350 for 4-ouch.
Some of the most beautiful smoked salmon I ever ate with lovely garnishes. Dover Sole goujons crisp perfection and mushy peas with chip shop fritters made for a filling meal. Confident and friendly service and restrained chatter from diners at nearby tables made for a warm ambience in the upstairs salon. Excellent wine list and a shady terrace in Swallow Street for fresh air dining looked well managed. Second visit this year and now a London favourite.
Excellent food especially the smoked salmon!
The quality of food is great. Nice selection of oysters. However, the courses come too quickly. We had barely finished our starters when the main course arrived. It felt as though we had to leave very quickly which ruined the experience for us. I would recommend the restaurant for the food but if you want to have a relaxed meal I would go somewhere else.
I went here on my own, seated at the bar. The service was fantastic: professional and attentive (it was fairly quiet though). The food was delicious and the fish was perfectly cooked. The drinks were lovely as well. Although the whole meal was pricey, it was a treat and I will definitely return in the future.
We had an absolutely brilliant evening. The service we received was second to none; helpful and attentive staff is a massive understatement, the food was absolutely delicious and the wine was beautiful. If you’re looking for an elegant seafood restaurant with a wonderful ambience then please go and try, I honestly couldn’t recommend this place highly enough.
Igor and Antonio were excellent servers, the food is outstanding, and I really appreciated the AC on a very hot day! I will be back soon!
Outstanding food in lovely setting! Great service too!!
Great food as always, nothing too much trouble. It’s actually pretty good value for money - although over £5 for black coffee does seem excessive!
