It was my best friend’s birthday. They took a while before the chef came and my shrimp was hard. Overall it was ok.
The service was very good - which is always is. The food is pretty good - but nothing new or exciting. If you've been there once or twice, you'll see it's the same it has been for years. The interior needs major renovations! The wood table around the grill where you sit are sticky and feel dirty. The menu's feel dirty. The carpet is dirty. A good facelift would make a huge difference.
The food was excellent and worth every penny. We were celebrating birthdays and utilized our coupons but there was no acknowledgment besides accepting the coupon. Our chef provided delicious food but it would have been nice if he provided more of a show...which is why you go to Benihana!
Although our server was a little rude and was extra slow the cook was amazing, energetic and kept us entertained from the second she walked to the table. I believe her name was sparkle!
Food still good but service gone downhill we had a birthday party and they never sing happy birthday and they no longer serve dessert...I was very disappointed ☹️

Customer service was just average. I asked for a corner table it was not given to me not because it wasn’t available but mostly because they didn’t pay attention. The meat was dried but drinks was great.
Terrible experience start to finish. We waited 45 minutes to sit down for our 7:15 reservation and then another 45 minutes at the table waiting for staff to show up. I had to go back to the bar after being seated to order appetizers for our table. The table next to us was left empty for the entire duration of our evening and was used as a catch all for stacks of dirty plates and trays of empty glassware. The dining-room floor was absolutely filthy, littered up & down with trash and bits of food, which makes one wonder what the kitchen looks like? The only bright spots were Krista the bartender and Sparkles who win guests with their big personalities but lacked the necessary tools from management to save a clearly sinking ship. 3 hours and $120 poorly spent with bonus 'Benihana's Revenge' the next day. Beware and seek your Hibachi experience elsewhere.
We had a reservation and when we arrived they said they were 15 minutes behind. We waited one hour for a table and a very unprofessional hostess told my husband she was going to have security escort him out for him asking 2 times when the table would be ready.
First at that location and I will not return disappointed overall not a great experience at this location.
I would not rate the noise level at energetic! It was obnoxiously LOUD to the point that I left with a headache. Good for kids entertainment but too loud for adult conversation unless you are drunk which was the case with the guy they sat across from us!
not great for value, no taste and left smelling like food, need to wash up after dinner. Thumbs down.
The food and presentation are always consistently good. The chefs put on an amusing cooking show and the food is always delicious.

Service was terrible. Chef was good. We got our rice as we were finishing up dinner. Waitress had terrible attitude. It was our sons birthday. We made it a tradution to go there every year. Not any more. We brought a cake which we gave to them. After finishing dinner and waiting over 20 minutes we told them to bring cake and took it home. Never go there again
Amazing service in a second visit. Chef Sparkles is the best chef.
We went for a birthday. First there were no Japanese draft beers. Seriously!! Then water was brought and it seemed they poured the ice and cold water on glasses that had just come out of the dishwasher. All 5 glasses were cracked. Had to wait for regular water for at least 10 minutes. When chef started cooking, a brown and steamed rice was missing. Chef had to go get it. Then one of the orders, steak and shrimp, the steak was missing. Chef had to again go again and get it in the back. We had signed up for the Chef's table and because the coupon didn't have the bar code, we weren't given the discount. We asked to speak to the manager and finally got something off the bill because of the inconvenience. We won't go back there.
I made a table reservation and suscribed for a birthday certificación 3 weeks before my husband 's birthday. We live outside US and this dinner was for a special occasion during our vacations. The birthday certification never arrived and we should wait 1 hour and a half to eat. Made a reservation has no sense if you can not commit it and offer a birthday certification that will arrive whenever you want has no sense.
Got there 10 Minutes before our reservation , Was told to have a seat and wait . We waited 40 minutes until we where seated . We asked twice when would we be seated the host basically brushed my self and my son off saying they will seat us when a table leaves . Very Rude , No apology no explanation nothing .
Got to the table took 10-15 minutes for a waitress to come over for a drink order ( Which she got 1 drink order wrong ) and was gone so fast after she dropped them off that we couldn’t even let her know it was wrong .
Another 15 minutes pass before she came back to take our dinner order .. which she got 2 dishes wrong . Never where asked for refill on drinks never asked for dessert and just dropped the check off ... FROM HOST TO SERVICE OT WAS HORRIBLE THE CHEF WAS OK BUT NOT THE OLD DAYS WOTH SHOWMANSHIP AND INTERACTING WITH GUESTS .... Very disappointed
The quality of the food was excellent and the service provided by the wait staff and cook were very well done and entertaining.
We came in with a birthday certificate this time (we had been in several weeks ago just for a fun dinner). Our chef was your best one, and we have had him before. A good chef can make or break this experience! The quality of the food is always good, but if the chef doesn't cook my husband's steak very rare he is not happy. He was VERY happy this time! Thank you!

The people at out table seemed to know the chef personally and there was alot of talk about how the chef doesnt make as much money as when they were a server. I went for my birthday and one of the people at the table happened to mention that going to Benihana for a birthday was very stupid and sad. The girl with the red hair that was at the register when I walked in had a nasty attitude towards me. I told her we had a 7:45 reservation and she completely ignored me then waited a few minutes looked up at me and said what do you want. I told her again we have a reservation and she rolled her eyes and gave me super attitude and said whatever. I will never go back here again I've never had such a horrible experience

Slow and bad waitress service, almost forgot everything we order, good food and very nice and professional chef, slow dinner service, you can spend 2-3 hours there.
We are regular customers so we like it of course. This visit the Chef was so good I made it my business to tell them at the desk as we were leaving. He was African American and I remember a time when we were disappointed when our Chef was not Japanese. The cute thing is that he wore a nametag that identified him as "Chen". The waiter left a little to be desired but not too terrible. Having dined at various Benihanas since the mid 1970s with children, then grandchildren and now great grandchildren, my wife and I consider ourselves experts.
This place always amazes. It's been a long time since I've been there, and many changes have been made. But it's still fun, good food, good value, and great entertainment. The chefs are talented and enjoy showing the diners their many skills with food. I'll go back sooner next time.

Everything was great!
The old days of Benihana are gone. No longer the showmanship of the chef preparing the food. We basically had a short order cook from a diner. Service was erratic to the extent of dinner being served one ingredient at a time. At the end I explained this to management and basically they could not care less as to say pay the bill and leave. Many other quality restaurants in the vicinity.
Service was slow. Chef had poor presentation and only interacted with the Hispanic family in Spanish at the table. First drink refill was at the end of dinner. 30 minute wait time after having a reservation for 730pm
I would recommend Benihana Miramar because service there is Alana’s nice fast and quick but with the service at Fort Lauderdale it took almost 2 hours just to get the bed to come to the table and by the time the food was finished I was too tired to eat at the restaurant.
Great place to go with friends-never a bad meal! Perfect place to celebrate a special occasion. Make sure to get the Château Briand
Mold was on the wall in front of us all around the ac vent and to the left of it. Very disturbing to me as I am allergic to mold. The staff was so very concerned about allergy to food yet what about the black mold around the ac vent 10 feet away from me. Not happy about that level of lack of cleaning.

I had a reservation at 7:15pm and even checked in early at 7:00pm and we did not sit down at a table until 8:00pm, we had to keep going to the hostess station and asking them what is going on instead of management or a hostess coming to us and letting us know what was going on. There was really no acknowledgement on they're part or any apologies given by the restaurant for the inconvenience and it was if our time didn't matter, this was one of my worst experiences at a Benihana restaurant.
