I LOVE the spring rolls and the Stella burger ! A favorite and a must have everytime !
Always delicious. Fair prices.
Bellwether was amazing. My boyfriend and I went there for dinner for a date night downtown. Food was great, ambiance was amazing and it was decently priced for it being downtown. Definitely would return again.
Great service, made my daughter a plate of spaghetti even though it wasn’t on the menu. Thanks
GREAT, great dinner at the Bellwether Chicago. Superior service! Excellent cuisine!
We agree we may adopt this as “our local!” The menu has good variety, all we’ve tried is very tasty. The Mac and cheese, the flat breads, the salmon, Caesar salad...and the Brussels sprouts were the BEST.
Service was very friendly and attentive. Wine list is kind of pricey but our cab was very good.
The atmosphere is comfortable modern. The kitchen stays open late. And it’s great for takeout, too.
Food was food. Kitchen forgot one item in dish. Main problem was very slow service for refills on coffee and water. Had to constantly attempt to flag down a waitstaff. Restaurant was not yet busy. On a Sunday brunch need more attentive service. Everyone was friendly.
Went to Bellwether for Brunch, and it was a nice experience! Mimosas and bloody marys were made perfectly. The southwest skillet and salmon benedict were delicious! The waitstaff was attentive and nice. Overall I would go back there for breakfast and also give it a try for lunch/dinner sometime! It was a perfect spot for brunch right before the movie next door.
Great service, wonderful wine list, and great variety on the food menu.
I honestly cannot write this restaurant at all other than to say it was absolutely a big let down when my party got there the restaurant was not even open it was under construction very disappointed will never use this service again
The restaurant is not even open - you should shut down your online reservation option and this survey process until the actual restaurant opens!
Was really looking forward to eating here since it was conveniently located and the menu had a variety of options, very disappointed to get there and see the sign on the door, "closed due to pipe burst." I understand some things are out of control, but had to search for a new place to eat on the street corner while everyone was hungry and cold. Felt very embarrassed to have planned a dinner for several people and find out when we got there. It would have been appropriate and respectful to receive an email or text message prior to showing up to a closed restaurant. I should have read the reviews prior to booking, seems like the restaurant has been closed for over a month yet people were still able to make reservations without knowing. Felt it was inappropriate for the restaurant and open table reservations to continue to allow bookings to occur and disrupt customers dining experience.
This place is closed for renovation and didn’t have the courtesy to turn off their reservations. They will allow you to make them and show up.
When we arrived they were closed due to pipe broke. Understand that these things happen but no one let us know, my phone number was on reservation as well as email! Very disappointing to be left at 6 with no reservation !
They weren’t open and never called to let us know....
The restaurant is CLOSED for remodeling!!! That would have been nice to know before getting there!! Really threw off our days itinerary. Please note that in your app.
It is closed: please remove from the Open Table App
So considering we had reservations on Val day it would have been nice to get a phone call email stating that they would be closed
Delicious food with a beautiful atmosphere
The french onion soup, fries, burger and ahi tuna and lobster tacos were delicious. We had a very nice server and on Wednesday they offer 20 perfect off wine!
Our server was almost never there. My fiance ordered a cocktail and it took 15 minutes for it to come to the table. Also, the Ahi Tuna tacos were a gamble, I guess, but they were disgusting. One of the worst meals I've had in a long time. And they were $18!
The staff seemed a little harried. Food was fine. I was very appreciative when our server noticed a mistake she’d made and corrected it before we even noticed the mistake.
Had a great time with friends while we were in Chicago for a conference. Thanks so much.
We arrived on time and were seated right away; however, it took 20 minutes for our server to approach us. The food was amazing, especially the chili, and I'd definitely visit again in hopes of a better server. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice modern look to it
Despite the fact the restaurant was not busy our waiter was a no show. Appetizer didn’t come until the meal. Good food but not good service.
We enjoyed the dinner and the restaurant. Just surprised when I asked for a 2nd salad dressings I wasn't sure if I would like one that typically comes with salad would be too spicy for me. I received the dressing on the side in a small cup. Seems customer unfriendly to me.
Server was not very attentive. Fish tacos were very mushy and not good at all for the price. Not very pleased with this place
Bellwether is a good place to catch lunch, in an area that has few informal restaurants. The decor is hotel coffee shop, but the selection of sandwiches and salads is fine. Agreeable service.
Food was delicious, and not too expensive! Service was great! Ambiance was just what we were looking for...really nice place, not too crowded, really good food! Def would go back!
Amazing dining experience!! Went for the chefs menu with drink paring and it couldn’t be any better!! We’ll be definitely going back!!
Less than average brew pub food with nondescript ambiance in a city with overwhelmingly wonderful food experiences. Spend your dollars elsewhere.
I was visiting for business and came across this place. I got the blue cheese burger and it was very good. Server was good, but you could tell he was new. Excellent Ginger Beer. Trendy atmosphere.
Lobster Ravioli was amazing! Great location, and food came out quickly.
Great menu and good service in a pleasant atmosphere.
I’m listing this restaurant under everyday dining, yet I believe it could be a great choice of any occasion! The staff were very friendly and attentive, food was yummy and the menu was quite extensive! (although if you are searching for more eclectic eats I’d suggest elsewhere) I would definitely recommend the shrimp cocktail! Best one I’ve had in the city other than Beacons Tavern (which I’d sadly like to disqualify due to their shrimp being replaced for prawns). The creme brûlée was delicious also!! Lastly I’d like to point out that the ambiance of this restaurant is on point, great music, nice art, super chic... with surprisingly comfortable booths (which I could’ve fallen asleep in). Overall one of my better dining experiences in the loop.
We were staying in the embassy suites which is above. We went here after the patriots/bears game (to celebrate a pats win!) Food and service were great!
We took our adult kids here for dinner before a movie at the AMC down the street. I had the ahi tacos which were fine, but a little bland. My husband had the pasta and mussels which were again, fine, but unexciting. I did enjoy the cocktail menu, which had some interesting choices.
Extremely Disappointing. Did not acknowledge special occasion (birthday). Server inattentive. Felt rushed. Overall: low-medium rate. Would not recommend.
I’d try Bellwether again; we came during Chicago International Film Festival and the place was packed, and our server seemed new and overwhelmed. It’s close to AMC River 21 theaters
