The food and service was great! Our server was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu. I have a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating by providing us peaches for the whipped ricotta instead of the bread. Grilled octopus was delicious as well.

Amazing, flavorful food and great service! Peach and cucumber salad, meatballs, and squid ink pasta were my personal favorites. Definitely save room for the caramel budino for dessert as well. Happy hour cocktails were alright, but nothing special. Overall, one of the best restaurants I've been to in my four years in Philly.
Get the Mais Pizza. It will change your life.
Nice restaurant in Center City. Unfortunately the Saturday brunch menu (2:30 PM) was very small and limited. Drinks were great and the pizza we ate was also very good... would like to go back for dinner some day.

It’s always a nice place to have dinner and go on dates. We go there every time we are in Philly. Everyone needs to try. They did change the Gnocchi recipe a bit but it’s still tasty. I prefer the older recipe but I still enjoyed it.

This was a special evening with friends, and we could not have been more delighted with the meal. The food was delicious, the atmosphere energetic, our server was informative and solicitous, everything was prepared and served to perfection. We all felt it was a wonderful and memorable restaurant meal.

Very cool experience eating on the street. I liked the new menu, had good options and was done well; but I feel as though their previous ones were more exciting and innovative. I would still like to visit again with the new seasons menu
A disaster from the start. When we arrived, the hostess barely acknowledged us. She eventually led us outside and upstairs, looked around as if it were her first time there, and then walked away leaving us standing in the middle of the dining room. Zero communication or eye contact. We followed her back downstairs, where she explained that no tables were available (we had a reservation and had received a text that our table was ready). We then were told to “wait on the bench” while it was figured out. Ten minutes later we were led back upstairs to a table. The server was even worse. Obviously in the weeds, they were not at all friendly or helpful. When I ordered an “extra dirty Tito’s martini” they replied with attitude “so, a martini”. I had to repeat myself and they were visibly annoyed. When said martini arrived, it was spilled on the table, lacking any garnish (not an olive in sight) and tasted terrible. One set of silverware was dirty, but our server intentionally would not look at us - so we had to get up and ask a manager for a new set. The peach salad tasted like soap, and the corn arancini was incredibly bland. We asked for the pizza to go. When the manager asked why we were leaving, I explained that everything had been terrible, and then he mocked me for complaining. He tried to explain that they were overwhelmed and understaffed due to COVID, which they obviously were. The problem is that someone is making the decision to open the restaurant to a maximum number of patrons (both the downstairs, upstairs, and outside dining areas were full) without enough staff to handle it. This used to be one of my favorite spots, but I’ll likely never go back.
Worst service I’ve experienced in 4 decades of restaurant dining. Truly shockingly bad. I wish there were a private way to contact management because I’ve enjoyed many meals at Barbuzzo and know this is not normal for them. Sadly, my *literally* 35 phone calls resulted in only a busy signal. The room was also extremely loud even though it was not at capacity. Our food was very tasty, but the pasta was swimming in oil — so unnecessary as it was otherwise very flavorful.

Dinner was terrific beginning and ending with the wonderful birthday greeting to my husband as we entered and left to the great service and delicious food. The focaccia and grilled feta starter was excellent followed by a refreshing peach and cucumber salad. Both were of the perfect size for sharing by two hearty eaters. The entrees, casarecce and bronzino, along with accompanying sides were delicious with enough for a hearty snack the next day This was by far the most delicious meal we've had at this restaurant indicating a better than ever pandemic comeback.
One of my favorite restaurants in all of Philadelphia, but don’t take my word for it. Give them a try!
Terrific, creative takes on Mediterranean classics. As enjoyable
and interesting as Iron Gate in DC. Gnocchi were pillow soft, with a lovely peas and asparagus sauce, straight out of the garden. Braised lamb pasta was terrific and actually almost light. And an amazing peach and cucumber salad...complex, not too sweet, kind of genius. Liked the wine list, too!
Wonderful food! Served in portions that were just right. Imaginative pairings with cocktails, wines, and beers. The salted caramel budino dessert is not to be missed!
The pizza was very greasy and oily and where picked it up it fell apart. The waitress was new and made wait and barely came over

Had to wait a long time to get water and again to order. Food arrived quickly but pizza crust was not good (soggy, soft, burnt, not crisp). Liked the branzino (the dish was not amazing though) and the funghi pizza toppings. Staff were friendly and helpful, but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. AC was also not cold enough.
The food was fantastic. I really enjoyed the ambiance of the second floor space. Would recommend.

We had the absolute best time at barbuzzo!! Service, wine, and food were *chefs kiss* our favorites were the arancini and the gnocchi. Only complaint was the octopus entree was a little fishy.
