Balbir’s is the first and possibly the only Indian restaurant in Scotland to have obtained both the ‘Healthy Living’ award and the ‘Eat Safe’ food certificate from the UK governments Food Standards agency.
Fabulous. Haven’t eaten there for a while but didn’t disappoint. Introduced my friends to their Goanese Fish Curry. Absolutely amazing. Will go back soon.
Balbirs is one of our favourite resturaunts to eat. Amazing service as always and the food is outstanding. Would highly recommend. Katie
Wonderful authentic Indian cuisine, tastes like home cooked. Best Indian in Glasgow.
Usual high standard. Lovely fresh flavours and great service
Staff are always very welcoming nothing is ever too much bother for them
Def be back
Food is to “die” for absolutely delicious, very friendly staff who ate not overly attentive. Wine list that has something for everyone, is a must when you are in the west end of Glasgow. Would recommend to anyone.
Lovley food , very friendly staff 3rd visit we will return again .
First class service. Attention to detail. Would recommend balbirs for great family gathering.
The restaurant is nicely decorated. It was quite busy and has a good atmosphere. The staff were very good, attentive and polite. Our party of four all thought the food was lovely , My favourite was the lamb keema, another favourite was the chicken methi. Great value as we had a 5pm deal. I would highly recommend and will return
Was ill after my meal with an very upset stomach. The food was nice at the time but about 20 minutes after I was ill. The staff were nice enough but a large group of young boys were sat beside us and were very nosy spoiling our quiet romantic date night. Also no cocktails served on a Saturday night
I am a regular visitor to Balbirs and always enjoy their food - a few new meals on the menu this time - we tried two of them and they were very good.
Staff extremely helpful and attentive without being intrusive. Food excellent as always
Very pleasant evening slight disappointment that some dishes unavailable due to impending closure for a couple of weeks but enjoyed the prawns achari
The attention to details was very nice. The food is wonderful and the service is very personal.
Food was delicious, not your typical Indian cuisine, sauces were lighter. Lovely restaurant, great service and good value for money.
Lovely food staff very welcoming.definately be back
Absolutely fabulous as always, just gets better each time
Food is always terrific, great customer service... the team are always very attentive.
Brilliant evening with my family - food as always fantastic
Good variety of dishes on the menu. Food was fresh and delicious.
We have dined in Balbirs on a number of occasions and it remains one of our favourite Indian restaurants in the city. The food is excellent and the staff are not only professional and efficient but friendly and with a sense of humour too.
Well worth a visit.
Having dined previously this visit was very disappointing. The food was reasonable, although not outstanding but the service was lacklustre and slow. Having your dinner abruptly dumped in front of you before the server quickly makes an exit (this happened for every course) didn’t improve on the long wait to order or the even longer wait to try and get the bill. The service we received was minimal and certainly not what we considered acceptable for the price you’re paying.
We have been dining at Balbirs at least once a month since it opened and not had a bad meal yet.
Wonderful food. Well prepared and presented. Service excellent. Smart and courteous staff. A superb dining experience.
Lovely authentic Indian food. Always enjoy the quality of food and service.
Wonderful restaurant with attentive staff. The food was very well prepared and tasty.
Food and service were very good.
I was extremely disappointed regarding the wine.
I ordered the £30 Rioja and was told the wine list was being changed and I was given a different Rioja.
Wine was fine, but on receiving the bill it was listed at £41.
I did not complain, nor did I leave the £10 tip I would have.
Fantastic food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Will be back before long. Thanks
Brilliant food and service. Highly recommend. Handy location for underground
Great location lovely inside friendly attentive staff food came quickly and was delicious...look forward to going back soon
My wife and I have been going here for years everything was lovely except my xcuti curry that I normally get it wasn’t nice and couldn’t finish it
We were on the to the Kelvingrove museum and stopped by for dinner, food, service and ambience was perfect, will not leave it too long to go back.
Authentic beautifully cooked food. Highly recommended.
Brilliant food and a warm welcome. Never disappointed, one of the best Indian restaurants in Glasgow
Lovely restaurant where the food and service was excellent. Would definitely recommend here for a special occasion- or any reason to eat lovely Indian cuisine!!
Outstanding food as ever, great service and ambience, a totally different Indian experience.
Beautiful food and lovely ambience. Staff also make you feel so welcome. Don’t mind paying that bit extra for the experience.
One of the best curries we have been to, staff was outstanding & had a very welcoming & relaxing feel to the place. Food was amazing & cant wait to come back
Friendly atmosphere, good service not rushed , food was very enjoyable
It’s a couple of years since we last visited Balbir’s but it really is just as excellent as ever it was. We won’t leave it so long before our next visit
