Love coming here! Everyone who works here is just the best!! Great venue for music, great food & drinks. Always have fun here. In the warmer months the outside patio is a must!!
food and concert both were better than I expected.
Great place if you like to see artist close and not on far away screens
Wonderful service and great show by Heart by Heart!
Great place to listen to good music. Don't like the show menu at all, needs more small bites since they are easier to share and eat during a show. Drinks are good, not great and very overpriced.
Fantastic evening and great music!!!! Always a fun night with friends and the staff at Bakes!!!!
We had a fantastic night at Bake’s! Jenny was our server and she was attentive and accommodating.
We love Bake’s and First Friday Blues with The Mark DuFresne Band!
We went on a weeknight to celebrate a birthday. Double Play was the music group and we both loved it. They played great 70's music and interacted with the audience. We were surprised there were more people there. The food was very good. We will definitively return.
So nice to have great food, live music, free parking in building and nice people
Love this place. Always have a wonderful time. :)
Brought my dad here as a birthday dinner and we had a great time. First time I've been there but will be back. Chris our server was wonderful and the food really good.
The food was OK, the service was poor! The guy who was serving us was absolutely unwelcoming and not carrying at all. He was forcing us to give us the check even it was about 9:30PM and there weren’t people waiting for table.
I would not recommend Bake’s to anybody! That would bother my dignity.
Excellent music on Monday night. Talented young man
Bakes Place is always a great experience with fine music, drinks and food. The staff is ideal. I always recommend Bakes Place to friends. Don't miss the best music venue in the greater Seattle area.
Bake's is a small venue so the music is fairly loud but not too loud. Great service, food was great, nice vibe!
The music and ambiance was very nice but the food was sub par. Drinks were good but very expensive.
Super fun - great music and atmosphere, friendly service, wonderful food and drinks. Highly recommend!
The venue is fun and the band (Venture Highway Revisited) was great. The service was friendly and the food very good.
The band was phenomenal!
The food was fabulous! Something for everyone.
The service was great - the only thing that was not stellar was when we left to dance they cleaned the service team table scooped up the food and I would have preferred to have it boxed up. While I do love me a clean table it was a bit disappointing. And later I had just a sip or two left of my drink it too was cleaned. It was a "neat" drink and I imagine didn't look like much but I was certainly confused, when we came back to only waters at the table. We were sitting in the bar. While I like the team support of their service (and they are all friendly and professional) I didn't seem to have a good to person.
We will be back. Cheers!
A great date place. Been there twice now. Liked it both times.
Randy Norris and Big Road Blues were amazing. Food and ambiance were spectacular.
We truly enjoyed our evening at Bake's Place! The performer, Brittany Jean, was glorious. The outside seating was exceptional. The weather perfect. The noise from the nearby office party was distracting, but that was no one's fault but the self-involved attendees. They couldn't spoil our fun.
I took a date to Bakes. She had English as a third language, so the ability to hear each other was important. We arrived unfashionably early for dinner, and the noise level was very good. But as the day wore on, the number of occupied tables increased, and the number of conversations expanded, so by 7:30, volumes increased to levels that made conversation quite difficult, but that was in part due to the language issue.
As to the food, the pork tenderloin was tender and tasty, with a bit of sauce the really enhanced it. The asparagus was nicely cooked. Overall, my dinner was commendable. My date had a Caesar with grilled chicken, which she liked, but didn't rave about. It looked and smelled good to me, and I could hear the greens being crunched, so the freshness was audible . The libation list was extensive and impressive, and included a number of aperitifs and liqueurs, some of which were tempting. But we settled for a a bottle of wine. I was disappointed that they didn't have my favorite single-malt, but it is hard to find so it was no surprise. But their list of available whiskeys is impressive. As to the service, it was cordial but not familiar, efficient without hovering, and generally very acceptable. All in all, it was one of the superior overall experiences in dining that I've had over the past year. Lastly, the ambiance was generally attractive and comfortable, but mostly hard surfaces, to don't expect any hushed experience. I expect to return, but later in the day so the live entertainment can be enjoyed.
Bakes is a great place, the owners are very nice and the entire atmosphere is friendly and the music is always good.
We decided to visit Bake's Place for our 53rd anniversary because their scheduled entertainment was better than the act featured at Triple Door, the other venue we were considering. When we arrived, the dining room was empty, the stage was empty and all patrons were seated outside on the patio.
Explanations for the lack of entertainment ranged from "We never have music on Monday" through "That act played last Monday" to "There was a family emergency and they had to cancel". Nobody really knew.
If there really was a cancellation for cause, we would have greatly appreciated a 'heads-up'. Right up to the moment we left for dinner, their monthly calendar continued to show the act we had come to see.
We were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunny day! The service was great and the food was even better.
Bake's place reminds me of a smaller version of Jazz Alley in Seattle. Great place to see music - sight lines, acoustics, ambience, etc. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. We requested additional drinks for the start of the music and that is exactly what happened. The food was the "show menu" - a more limited offering during show times due to the kitchen getting slammed prior to performances. Some reasonably priced food was still available on that menu. Can't say enough good things about our first experience there. Almost forgot - they have a great patio set up where you can still see and hear the music too!
Perfect venue to hear live music. The sound mixing on Friday's band (Moondance -Van Morrison Tribute Band) was outstanding. Every instrument came through clearly, as well as the vocals. The place was full, and everyone had a great time. Suggestion: I recommend the Peruvian Viking cocktail.
Know about the 16$ cover in advance.
Food is OK : one vegetarian choice.
Place has a fun, young (albeit loud) vibe.
Outdoor area looks great : will sit there next time.
Great place to meet friends for good food, drinks and music.
Superb service, great food, awesome music filled atmosphere. So relaxing and enjoyable. Definitely will be back with friends!
Fine, small music/food club on Seattle's Eastside. The food was better than expected, especially the cauliflower appetizer. The music was live and featured a Creedence Clearwater Revival band from Vancouver BC. The audience was dancing, enthusiastic, and welcoming. Made for an evening to remember!
We love Bake’s Place, especially First Friday Blues with The Mark DuFresne Band.
The service and cuisine is impeccable. We always find something new to sample and are never disappointed.
small and intimate, with great music by a well known and loved group - nearly dan
food was inviting and served in a artistic manner
Nearly Dan put on a fabulous performance! Great ambience and lovely setting.
Our table of 6 had mostly drinks and appetizers. The drinks were good but very pricey. The food was average; nothing I would say was a stand-out or unique. The servers were very good - they checked on us often. We were on the patio and loved it - a lovely outdoor atmosphere on a beautiful summer evening. Couldn't even tell that we were on a busy main street. We came to see a friend sing so of course the music was outstanding. This is a fun venue to come to in the warm weather. The inside looked lovely but I'm a sucker for a great patio!
Great food and music!
Perfect place to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather. Yard games available on the green and a nice out of the way table for more quiet conversation. We'll come back again.
We enjoyed our drinks, food and listening to the live music
Was a fun experience
I had book this as a special evening and made note in my reservation that it was my wife’s birthday. I have been to Bakes several times and the service and attentiveness was the worst I have ever had. There was no mention of my wife’s birthday and we had to constantly float down our server for napkins, silverware, drink orders, food. Even had to ask twice for the check. We were so looking forward to the evening and left early because the evening was such a disappointment. We wanted to order dessert but we were having to wait so long we just said forget it and left. So disappointed that no one ever looked at the reservation or paid any attention to the specialness of the evening.
We always enjoy our date nights at Bake’s! Great food, service and music. Bake’s is our go-to.
