Mediocre food at best and abismal service. I was absolutely disappointed after looking forward to Asha’s for so long, it was a disaster to say the least, rushed service, water confused with our main course and generally not what I would expect off such a international brand name.
Customer service was very poor, at no point throughout the meal were we asked if the food was ok or if we wanted another drink, at the end of the meal when the bill was brought, I paid in cash minus the service charge, when the waiter came back I Said I’ve left the money for the meal but not the service charge the response was ‘oh well I’ll have to go and ask the manager if it’s ok’ after waiting 10 minutes for him to return we left. Certainly so t be returning.
New dishes on the menu. Excellent food as always. Service impeccable. Love this restaurant
Food served was a little bit cold but okay.Indian food should really be served hot. Lacked the passionate service we had when we first visited the premises.
Went there with my son and the service was incredibly friendly. The restaurant is very nce and the food very good. Would defenetely reccomend it.
Always a great experience, lovely staff and excellent food. Menu is varied and plentiful. This is our go to restaurant in Manchester for any special occasion.
Emporers platter was sumptuous and the Prawn biryani cooked to perfection. Prawns cooked excellently. Would highly recommend and would definitely visit again.
Enjoyed a very good meal at Ashas with my girlfriend on Saturday night. The restaurant provides an excellent setting and a high quality & interesting menu. The staff were friendly and provided excellent table service.
As someone who dines out regularly in Manchester I can appreciate that Ashas provides a standard of dining of a higher quality than many of its contemporaries, however I would say the menu prices are high enough alone to not constitute a need to ask for a service charge & to enable you to provide free water for the table.
Overall my first experience of Ashas was very positive and I would certainly recommend the restaurant to others.
Opentable advertises pre theatre deal as running from 12pm - 7pm on Friday and Saturdays. I booked a table for 6pm, and only when I began to order was then told the pre theatre deal finished at 5pm.
Please sort this out, as I ended up paying much more than I had budgeted for a meal.
Poor value not brilliant just average which was a shame
A bit pricey for an Indian meal but the food and service were exceptional so you get what you pay for.
Food is really nice and really gives me a surprise!
Fabulous as always. New menu, lots of choice. Cocktails to die for
The food was extremely disappointing. The prawns were so hard it felt like they had been cooked yesterday and the food lacked spice and taste which you wouldn’t expect for a Indian restaurant.
Really looking forward to the meal as a repeat customer. Unfortunately it was very lack lustre, poor service, lack of ambience for the occasion of New Year’s Eve. Long wait to be seated without any explanation, stood unattended at the hostess desk for around 5 minutes whilst staff stood around/chatted between themselves and walked past ignoring attempts at gaining their attention (the table was ready). Food was not as good as usual. Very disappointed overall.
The food at Asha's is plentiful and delicious. The staff are very friendly and made our evening a most enjoyable experience.
Nice food overpriced though
Wonderful staff at this lovely, bright and airy restaurant with a highly original menu, beautifully presented and with personal stories attached to the dishes
We would recommend Asha's. The food was great, the service was friendly and prompt and the surroundings are clean and modern. The food is more expensive than a traditional Indian restaurant but the standard is higher in my view. Overall, excellent and we would go again.
4th visit at least and always great service and great food.
The most perfect lobster sharing platter! I would highly recommend Asha’s
I always used to rave about Asha's but it's gone backwards. They've removed the host/hostess to greet you as you walk in. You now have to walk upstairs and stand around at the top of the stairs until, eventually, a waiter spots you and comes over. They also no longer take your coat to hang up so it has to go over the back of the chair. For a restaurant at this price-point, the walk-in experience is poor. They've also dumbed-down the wine list and they didn't have 3 of the red wines on the list. Again, not good for a relatively expensive place. The food, however, is great quality.
Lovely setting and ambiance. Food on the whole was good, butter chicken was really good, lamb chop biryani whilst tasty felt like it could be a little spicier (personal preference though). The staff were helpful and made our anniversary meal special at the end! Slightly pricy but we did order a lot of food. I’d recommend you try Asha’s!
Went for the hubby’s birthday. The restaurant is lovely and the staff were very welcoming. The food was nice but for what we were paying it was nothing special or different which was a let down as was expecting a great food experience.
Thani’s for a tenner lunch offer was awesome!
Would go back!
Nice drinks in the cocktail bar as well.
Awful service. Table booked for 2015. Sat down 2050. No water even though asked. Will stick to traditional curry houses in future
I got review good through online, so travel 2hr to be there to calibrate our anniversary. Their service is poor, no real communication between the customer and service person. Manager was running everywhere. We are seated but I have wave hand for the manu, the drop glass of cold coke over my 18th months child, manager did not even come and check on him, is he ok or not. We are totally ignored. I have to ask for my main food. Even the people who seat same time as we have, got their food and left. Ultimately, I asked for the bill and told them I have to go and then they provide me pack food and told told us it is complementary.
Was very disappointed with our experience. We waiting 1hour and 15min for our starter to come and than we waited another 35 min for the main to come.
The started was nice, we have chicken tikka samosa but the main were very disappointing.
We also paid £4 for a used bottle of tap water.
Had very high hopes given the great write up on various social media platforms, however, was underwhelmed.
The decor is ok, and the food is ok - but not worth the price tag. We were advised to order 3 banquet starters which the waiter could have easily seen would be overfacing us. We ordered two and were still massively overfaced.
The main courses were again ‘ok’ - not worth the price tag. I wouldn’t go back.
Very poor service. Decided to forgo the sweets as we were never offered them. Food extremely average luckily we were on the ‘offer’ menu.
Really poor ambience for a high end restaurant. Even after reserving the table we had to wait 15 mins which was more than couple who did not reserve and were seated in less than 10 mins. The food was really bad. The only thing was the correct portion size. Overall very bad experience.
Great Service, Fabulous food especially the tandoori Salmon, tandoori Lamb chops and Tikka Starter platters. Shared 3 curry’s for main on recommendation and was equally as good as the starters. All 5 of us Loved it, thank you
Fantastic food - really good choice and food very fresh. Service very slow and seemed intermittent. No one to welcome and take to the table - indifferent knowledge (which is fine) but felt like it was understaffed and basics such as water and poppadoms took a long time to arrive.
Best Indian restaurant in England I was impressed with the thali and the pre theatre menu
very friendly staff, great service, fantastic food, great price. we were a group of six and we all enjoyed the experience. highly recommended.
It was a birthday dinner. Food was nice and atmosphere are good too. Services were helpful and they gave us a complimentary happy birthday cheesecake as a surprise. The only thing was that the birthday surprise took a bit too long to come, we were quite tired at that point and wanted to go.
Don’t park at the car park at northern gate, just park on the street if you are going for dinner, there are plenty of paid and display.
Fantastic food and great Cocktails. Staff were great and very helpful.
Came for my anniversary and the food was amazing but the service and atmosphere was anything but. The decor is very nice but the service let down the whole experience. There was only one waiter who came over and was friendly and polite, however, the FOH and others could’ve been more welcoming.
We booked late afternoon so it wasn’t busy but food was really good, we chose the pre theatre menu, good value.
Very nice food, good atmosphere. We had to wait a bit long to order our drinks
