Contemporary American
For over a decade, Art of the Table has been the restaurant in Seattle to celebrate food and those who dedicate their lives to raising, growing, foraging and catching our produce in the Pacific Northwest. Through our intimate dining room, our 10 seat chefs counter overlooking the kitchen, and our close relationship with local farmers and artisans. The menu at Art of the Table, crafted by chef Dustin Ronspies, changes daily to reflect a full range of seasonal, local produce, with all items made from scratch. Our tasting menus are the best expression of what we do. Along with our tasting menus, we offer a la carte dining option in the bar and lounge.

We were excited for a ‘chefs table’ experience and expected some interaction from the chefs. There was none

This was an extremely expensive ‘experience’ with very slow service and too much time in between courses. Very small portions. Happy we didn’t opt for pairing component as this would have sent the cost through the roof. I have no problem paying for great food and great service but this was lacking on all counts There were plenty of empty seats so they can’t argue that perhaps they were overwhelmingly busy

Will not visit this restaurant again

It was our first time to Art of the Table, we sat down and were immediately given the tasting menu by the host. There were no prices on the menu so we went along to do the courses. We had one cocktail, one beer, and two people meal cost ~$400 (tax not included)! Then we learned there's actually another menu with which we could order individual dishes... The host should have at least mentioned it when we sat down.
Service was great but the portion was small and didn't taste like it was worth $400. Pretty disappointed and felt tricked.

The services was really good .
The drinks was nice.
The only thing I didn’t like it’s the all courses flavors was very similar. Smoked, cheese and sour.
The last two courses before dessert I stop eating because the flavors was to much for me.
Nothing fresh in the all tasting menu expect the firs dish.

Art of the Table was just wonderful. The food the presentation the staff was just top notch. All I can say skip lunch that day, by the time you are finished with the tasting menu you are very very full.

One of the best meals I've had in more than 30 years in Seattle. Innovative, gorgeous, and delicious. Very highly recommended.

The food was delicious and very creative. We had counter seating and could watch them preparing the food which was great fun. The servers were all very nice and not stuffy at all.

Expectations were high, but actual experience was average from a value perspective.
Service is exceptional, from the moment you walked in, the table is set and ready.
We were suggested to try the wine pairing instead of ordering a bottle of wine, and we did. The wine was good and definitely enhanced the flavors of our food.
The caviar was served with potato chips and had crab salad on the top, so the chips were soggy therefore the caviar experience was poor, and few plates later the fish was overcooked.
So, the overall experience was below expectations.

Same price as Canlis but not even close to the level of food, service, and atmosphere. Skip it.

Amazing food and excellent wine pairing. Mitch, the super friendly wine director, loves to talk about wine and is happy to answer any wine-related questions.

Awesome! Everything was delicious and perfectly prepared. Everything a chef’s tasting should be: exceptional, showcasing everything that goes into a fine meal, from selection to presentation without a aggrandizing. The staff was so pleasant, courteous without pretentiousness. The wine pairings were also exceptional.

Our experience was outstanding.
The food was wonderful. (NOTE to planners: It is recommended to allow 2.5 hours for their regular full tasting menu.)
The service was equally amazing.

We would recommend this place without hesitation (as long as you have the budget for it).

We will be back!

This is a place to celebrate something special. The service was exceptional. Did the 7 course menu which is a little pricey based on the experience. Food is good and very artistic. It is like a journey. Some of the ingredients you might have never tasted and taste is not developed so you might not like it. Their cocktails are exceptional and NOT pricey at all. ($12 for a drink!) I felt that they tried to combine an elevated food journey with a modern bar setting. They should keep their target audience separate to capture this niche market.

Had the tasting menu while seated at at the bar. 7 courses of food and 4 of them were too salty. Not worth the 125 price tag. Service and ambience was nice though.

I've gone to Art of the Table in the old days when it was a one-chef show. I've done the a la carte menu. And I've done the tasting menus. They are all terrific. But I think the concept shines with the tasting menus. Our dinner last weekend was amazing - every note hit perfectly, every unlikely combination sang, service impeccable and setting lovely. This is our go to special occasion or just plain special dinner spot. It will remain so. Great job.

Great place to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Food came out with our pairings a bit slow, but not a big deal. Overall a great (albeit pricey) experience!

Excellent .... There were three of us having dinner, one having a vegan menu. One of us also had the wine pairing. Every dish was exceptional; the service was competent and attentive, the wine pairing was spot on, and the whole evening was very nice.

We celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary - we had the tasting menu w/ wine pairing. We are GF and they graciously accommodated. Food was excellent and beautifully presented. The wine pairings were very well thought out and complemented each dish nicely. We did notice that the dishes seemed to be coming a bit slowly - a minor detraction and certainly not significant enough to prevent us from recommending for that special evening out.

We came here to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Atmosphere is conducive to conversation. Our waiter was attentive and conversational, not overbearing and did an excellent job presenting the courses. He was also the guy who made our delicious and creative cocktails. We didn’t do the pairings but did get two glasses of wine, a rosé and a Pinot. The owner/chef is a genius with food. Every course was cooked and presented perfectly. He visited us at our table and he was casual, friendly and obviously very proud of his food. Portions are enough but not too much. Very reasonably priced for what you get and we both would definitely return.

For the price, you're far better off just going to Canlis. With the exception of one or two dishes, the majority of the food served was highly underwhelming. I might even go as far as to say that a few of the flavor combinations were borderline repulsive. The wait staff is attentive, maybe too much so though. One of the waiters actually had the nerve to hit on my date when I stepped away to go to the restroom. I really don't appreciate the lack of professionalism. It's highly offensive.

I had high hopes for this place but was sorely disappointed. Please spend your money elsewhere.

Great food and service! They change the menu daily according to the seasonal ingredient. The food is elegant and delicious. I have to catch the flight in 2.5 hr, and they adjust the menu and get me out on time perfectly (without feeling rushed). Note that they only have tasting menu in the dining area.

Some of the items were delicious and made me wish I could order more! The wine pairings were also fabulous and rare. A couple dishes were just good, but at the high price point, I'd expect them all to knock me out of the park. Overall it was a highly enjoyable special occasion restaurant.

Art of the Table staff, specifically Lilly, Taylor, and Alex, made our night dining in very special as it was our last dinner before my brother and his girlfriend returned home. The food was extremely delicious, and the service and overall environment were outstanding. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience.
