About this restaurant

  • Neighbourhood gem
  • Charming
  • Good for special occasions
Apulia welcomes You in for a taste and experience of southern Italy !
We aim to give you an unforgettable feeling when you taste our food, taking you to the various regions of Puglia, have you been? If not, then its time to go there ... of course, through us! Or feel free to visit our main branch in Bari, where we have had years of experience creating wonderful dishes, which we now bring to you in London. The most important ingredients that we use in creating our dishes are actually imported directly from local producers and farmers from the Puglia region. We use very little yeast in our dough for both our homemade bread and pizzas and the proving process is a minimum of 72 hours. We, Sassa & Sons, are bringing Italian style cooking to you using our grandma’s recipes, unchanged in every way.

Fantastic authentic Italian with great food from anti-pasto, salads, home made pasta and pizza. Near St Paul’s and Farringdon/Clerkenwell. Have used happily for work, friends and family. Worth a visit.

A good Italian but if you're looking for quiet and intimate then this is not the place for you. Service has slipped a little but still worth a visit.

Pizza’s not great, very soggy bottom, I love cheese, although this was too much cheese, for a Quattra Formaggi

The seabream was 😋 but I doubt any Pugliese would recognise the antipasto misto. Will try again xx

Lovely family meal at Apulia - 9 of us celebrating my son’s birthday. Food was absolutely excellent - really fresh and well presented. Service was good from start to finish- attentive but not fussy. Good value for the location.

Felt like we were being rushed through. Mentioned I was gluten free, and salad still came with breadcrumbs sprinkled over the top. The menu did clearly label what was GF, but that was a lot less considerate than I’ve found most places to be. Expensive for what it was

Slightly shabby interior with strange lighting. We had two steaks which were 50% fat. Just disappointing on every level. Would not return.

Not great a spot - mainly an after-work joint failing finding other options. Music was initially too loud, food wasn't great (the other guest got a bad stomach afterwards..), service was very rushed and curt, and there was a big work-do upstairs blocking the way to the toilet, making it awkward for everyone involved. They also overcharged us an item on the bill, which could have been a mistake but something just felt a bit off. Also, very overpriced for quality, especially when also including their (generous..) service charge. Wouldn't return & wouldn't recommend.
