Getting an order of the special is inexcusable. Then, it took far too long to bring it, especially as it was an angel hair dish. Two minutes plus add the sauce: why’d it take 15?
Loved the opportunity to try different wines with the 3oz option at half the 6oz price
Food and wine were excellent but service was just very bad
Once you find the place (it's in the rather confusing Oak Brook Center mall), you'll be surprised how un-mall like it is. It's got a nice vibe, and the service and food were great. Nice menu, too - lots of diverse choices, which makes us want to come back to try different things.
We always love it here. Great food and service. It's our favorite lettuce entertain you restaurant.
Im from out of town and on 3/13/20, was visiting family and we went there for the first time though my family visits the area it's in often. The food was excellent. 2 ordered the special fish which they said was absolutely delicious and finished it quickly! I ordered the Angel hair pomodor and added shrimp to it and it was one of the best pasta dishes I've had in a long time. I was also pleasantly surprised that there were 8 nice sized shrimp as usually when you add shrimp, you're lucky to get 4 or 5! The whole experience was great, the food was fantastic, we will definitely make it a point to go again next time we're in town.
We all enjoyed our dinner and service is excellent!
In light of the recent coronavirus outbreak’s you would think restaurants would practice social distancing by not cramming the restaurant full of people. We had to get up and leave when a patron sitting at the table next to us begin talking about having visited the hospital with a high fever and began coughing into the air
Great service! Food was fantastic. Great place to celebrate a birthday.
Great for lunch & dinner. Great salads, pizza & pasta.
A long time since I'd last been there but after this last meal, I don't know why. Not the usual "red sauce and cheese Italian." Excellent food, prepared fresh and with care, and some thought goes into the menu. For what you get, I'd also say the prices were quite good. Quiet enough to hear your dinner companions but, even though crowded, not loud.
I have eaten at Antico Posto for years. We usually go to Mon Ami Gabi or wildfire as first choices. Our family isn’t picky nor would I describe us as foodies. My daughter wanted Italian food for her 19th birthday. our meals were so disappointingly bland. The pollo limone was supposed to have a lemon/butter sauce, but was in a watery broth. The chicken didn’t have any flavor at all. My daughter ordered Gnocci in a red and cream sauce. I asked her if she liked it and said “this doesn’t have any flavor. It’s fine, but I’m done.” In comparison to other Lettuce restaurants this one is not keeping up.
They were out of the 2 dishes we ordered. The server dod offer another suggestion but we were disappointed. The wine that is usually ordered (their Malbec) did not taste right and no other option was offered to replace the Malbec (open a new bottle was our request but our server said no). A disappointing yet pricey experience.
Great restaurant with great food. The only negative was that it was oppressively warm and they have no control over the thermostat. Its controlled by the mall. We would have stayed longer for more wine but we were all sweating.
Our waiter was great and the gluten free food was delicious
First time there and will definitely be back! Not exactly easy to find
Pizza and service was excellent. Noise was steady but still able to talk.
It was my birthday and a chance to get together with special friends. The food and service here are excellent. The potions are the right size and moderately priced. Entry way is tight and noise level can be high; however, we really enjoy the atmosphere and selections. I was surprised with a birthday dessert that did not disappoint. We have been here many many times over the years, including bringing family from the UK in and they loved it.
My wife and I had a wonderful meal and experience at the restaurant. We had the chicken meatballs and grilled calamari for an appetizer. My wife then had a house salad and I had the Caesar salad-both of which were outstanding. The warm baked bread with the olive oil and cheese was phenomenally good. We then had the light and fluffy gnocchi – I had the gnocchi with mushrooms and my wife had the gnocchi in Bolognese sauce-incredibly delicious. We both had gelato for dessert – I had both the raspberry and a vanilla gelatos. I also had the Zuppa Inglese- Wow!
The service was also outstanding and very professional. I can see why this restaurant has been rated the top restaurant in Oakbrook by TripAdvisor. We simply could not be happier with our mail and our experience! Thank you so much, Antico Posto!
Excellent lunch choices. I had the special & my husband pasta bolognese. Both were very tasty & just right size for lunch. We will continue to frequent the restaurant. Great service.
Headed to Antico Posto to celebrate my mom’s 84th bday. Delicious meal, as always. Attentive service topped off with a complimentary slice of cannoli cake! We will be back!
Great service and yummy food
My family and I, group of 10, celebrated my 28th birthday. Mike, the manager, always a pleasure talking with him. Our waiter was delightful (wish I remembered his name) very helpful in helping me make a wine selection, checking on us to make sure everything was good or if we needed anything. Antico Posto and the staff never disappoint!
We both had the pistachio encrusted whitefish, which was excellent. Swapped out the mashed potatoes for spinach. Delish. Then my friend asked if she could have the bread we didn't eat with the aioli for her husband who was at home with the dog. Our waiter gave her a fresh order. That was very classy. Yes!
Antico Posto has quickly become our favorite italian restaurant. The daily specials, particularly the Burrata Lasagna and the Scallops with Pasta are particularly wonderful. All the pasta is handmade and the sauces are well balanced for each dish
Waiter was a little slow checking on our table, drinks were empty for a good period of time. Food and water service was good. Food was good, but portion size is small. Prices were on the high side for quality and quantity of good.
Antico Posto is my fave restaurant and I have brought lots of friends here, and they love it too! Can't beat any of the food there, it is so good. The Sunday special is my go to food, and never disappoints.
Seated right at our reservation time. Staff was very attentive but not overly so. Food was delicious. Noise level is loud. A lovely time all in all.
The BEST Gnocchi around! This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants in the Chicagoland area. Never disappointed.
Food was fantastic. I have a gluten intolerance and my pasta was very good! Our server was very helpful and friendly. Great experience!
Food was outstanding. The only thing negative was that I felt rushed at the end.
The food was delicious but our server was not very friendly and seemed uninterested
Love this place. Always start with gnocchi delicati as an appetizer for the table. Salads, pasta and fish are all delicious.
I love going there! The food is amazing and service is outstanding!
A go-to spot for us! We love the spaghetti and the gnocchi bolognese (with extra sauce) - perfectly delicious. The grilled calamari has become a favorite, although the fried version is the best anywhere. Wine list is very nice. Service is always outstanding - Norman was great the other night. Isabelle at the bar rocks!
Our server Daniela was so attentive and pleasant. Also the manager was very accomodating and helpful. The new salmon picatta dish was quite tasty.
Excellent all around!!
Outstanding food, great service and a really nice ambiance.
Another incredible dinner at Antico Posto! Mushroom gnocchi and white fish were each delicious.
We had terrible service here tonight and the food wasn’t up to it’s usual high standard. We had reservations at 4:45 and were seated right away but then it went down hill. It took a very long time to get drinks. Then we ordered and our waitress did not return to the table until after our food arrived. We were about a quarter of the way into our meal when she asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese. It also took 15 minutes to get the kids their ice cream. It was about a 90 minute dinner by the time we’d finished paying. We frequent Lettuce restaurants and this was not up to their standards. I will say the manager handled the situation well but unfortunately we won’t be rushing back...
