Always a good experience birthday celebration acknowledged
Food very good, good value, good place just let down by slow service with first drinks and waiter repeatedly coming round “is every thing ok, would like some more drinks” when we obviously didn’t need more drinks yet.
Great ambience Not rushed
My family and friends went to Alberts on a Tuesday to celebrate a birthday. The service was fine but the food was amazing! Steaks cooked perfectly and the short rib was a big hit! Couldn’t fault the food at all.
Great service, good food. This is our local regular place to eat. Will be back on Friday!! 😁
A very busy Sunday evening and the staff were not coping. Many customers were complaining of cold food, slow service etc. Including us. We went for my son’s 15th birthday and were very dissatisfied. The starters arrived cold, but we were late to our table and starving and we didn’t want to cause a fuss with it being a celebration. We hoped that the mains would compensate for the poor starters. They arrived 40 minutes later, no one had the courtesy to tell us the meals were running late and when they arrived they weren’t worth waiting for.
The waiters were trying their best but service was shocking.
Considering the bill came to over£100 for 3 people it was absolutely not worth it.

Dined here many times, on this occasion three out of four starters had to be returned as they were cold, replacement starters were lovely. Two mains were great, but the Roast Pork was poor and the Cheese pie didn't come as described, roast Pork was replaced by the Roast beef which was ok, very thin piece of beef though. Desserts good, staff friendly, would return as this is the only time we have had a disappointing experience

It was our first visit, and we really enjoyed our meal .
Too noisy not able to talk between ourselves, wanted to listen to group! Ordered Tiger prawns avocado, prawns burnt, spot the avocado. Too busy staff couldn't cope.

It was my first visit to Albert's and it was really good. I loved the restaurant and the lighting. Everything was of a very good standard including the food and service and it had a nice ambience and I would definitely return. The Sunday menu which was what we had was also good value at £18/2 courses & £21/3 courses.
Great value £21 for 3 courses. Restaurant very busy but staff were great. A bit too loud for some people.

Booked well in advance for 6 people - Sat evening. Very busy when we arrived and asked to have a drink in the bar for a short time until table ready. Bar had no spiced rum (ok) but surprisingly no Southern Comfort. Whilst choosing food we were told that three of the mains where sold out including short rib, lamb and roly poly. Far from ideal as some wanted those but we chose alternatives. The final straw however was being told there was no root veg left!!! For a restaurant of his size, supposed quality and on a Sat night this is attrocious. When we complained we were very nicely told that it wasn't as busy the previous week and about their operational issues in getting supplies. Frankly not something a customer should need to be concerned about. I appreciate there may be an odd dish that sells out but this is not such an extensive menu and they know how many covers they have! To run out of veg ...really!! As a side issues the steaks were mediocre and the well done order was actually medium. We were given a small discount on the bill but that really wasnt the point- we just wanted a nice meal out! Very disappointed

Good quality , not too loud and in good taste.
The Waiter was very good friendly and efficient
Overall it feels a bit hectic luv the lively atmosphere
But it could be more relaxing if staff are busy you can feel their stress this is not not a complaint but
Would be Perfect if a bit calmer, perhaps too many small tables ( especially the 2 seaters) squashed in so close to other people and not much space In between staff are squeezing thru with food etc.
It was very busy when we was there. The table we got was near the door, which was opening n shutting a lot so was a bit cold. The food was lovely and the waiter we had was great he was very busy but still attended to our needs. He was maybe an Italian guy, and was really good at his job.
Wonderful experience for my daughter's special birthday, Gerda our waitress provided us with some fabulous service and recommend a wonderful cocktail tree which we thoroughly enjoyed. The food was absolutely delicious highly recommend the rabbit gnocchi and Malayan chicken dish. Beautiful ambience we will definitely return.
3 of us had braised beef that was soooo fatty. The waiter showed it to the chef he said it usually melts away. We were offered free sweets to compensate. It was a shame as It was my birthday and I had the chicken it was beautiful, but my friends were disappointed.

Fantastic service and outstanding quality food, would highly recommend to anyone. I was expecting to pay ALOT more for the food and drinks that we had.

Lovely food great value not happy with the all cocktails for 5.50 absolutely misleading it states All cocktails 5.50 but its not the case its just the first three. So the description is misleading.
Good food and 2 course lunch menu is amazing value. Staff always polite and attentive so keep returning. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
I took my parents and toddler for early tea on Thursday. The staff were excellent and attentive. However, one of the meals was the stuffed chicken with apricot and arrived with the top of the chicken breast still raw pink and fleshy. The meal was taken away and cooked again and apologised for. This meant my father was eating after the rest of us which is never ideal and not want you want during a family meal. Also no compensation or discount was provided, not even an offer of a drink whilst he waited. I do not believe this to be good customer service and ruined the experience for us overall.

As a group of four we enjoyed our meal but as I had made the arrangements I was a little perturbed to receive an email whilst still in the restaurant stating that we had not honoured the reservation particularly as we had arrived nearly 10 minutes before the arranged time. The waiter and the receptionist were very apologetic but I felt that it was rather odd to be admonished when I was actually seated in the restaurant. Other than that the service was very good and the staff very attentive.
Love this place, been numerous times with friends. Went for my birthday at lunchtime today with my folks, first time they had been, on leaving they said what great value on lunchtime menu and place, will definately go back. 👍
I have two issues with my last visit. Firstly, my husband ordered the fish and chips which apparently now comes without tartare sauce or bread and butter and secondly with the price of a pint of big wave, which at 6.10 is pretty extortionate!
I love many things about alberts worsley but I have to say that these two issues definitely took the shine off my visit.
Thank you for your review Anne, I'm sorry to hear that you were not offered a drinks menu to view, I will ensure that this is brought to the attention of the management team so that all the staff are reminded that drinks menus should be offered when guests are seated. The bread and butter and Tartare sauce for the fish and chips is not charged as an extra but it should have be offered by your server to see if you would like it when ordering the dish. Karen
Service was very poor i went to order at the desk as no waiter had been to the table was advised the waiter would come but still no waiter came so we went to the bar for the drinks they did eventually come to the table the starter arrived with one meal incorrect the main meals were ok apart from one again which was the fish and chips the fish was dry and no taste the music was loud and at 10.15 we were advised the bar had closed due to a staff Christmas party they had not pre advised us about this I have never had a problem before at Albert but Very disappointed on this occasion and I had guest over from France and had been telling them how good it was this was a overall embarrassing evening

Alberts was lovely food and drinks were amazing l, did feel asif the staff looked down on your a little, it was my birthday and one gentleman was quite rude when we said we didn’t want full meals, apart from that it was great
Are table was not ready when we arrived but staff were friendly.
We didn’t leave the full 10% tip as we had to wait a significant amount of time between courses and didn’t appreciate being questions when we didn’t leave the full tip amount.
Usual busy restaurant with lots of birthday celebrations. I enjoy the busy bustling place. I had Dover sole which was lovely followed by the wonderful sticky toffee pudding. The service was good too.

Excellent service and value for money as always - the lunchtime menu 2 for £12.50 is perfect for us as the portions perfect size and plenty of choice - served straight away and meals served promptly. Always great atmosphere whatever time of day the ambience is perfect but we may try the new restaurant in Standish next time just for a change no other reason as we love the Worsley venue .
The staff is very polite and friendly to us. Be aware I am Deaf can’t use the telephone to book but I use on website to book the table for us more accessible for me. Thank you
Lots of choice on the lunch menu, which enabled vegetarians, pescatarians and meat eaters to have variety. Beer good. Food excellent. Staff very pleasant. Very good value for money , my only quibble is they need more staff

Been to alberts many times and always had a fairly decent experience . On Friday night myself and a group of friends had the worst night ever - food average and cold , served very late (mains at 10pm!!) and the waiter was the rudest , most misogynistic man I have had the misfortune to meet . Night was only saved by the very nice manager (beard man sorry no name ) who sorted our evening out at the end of the night all be it a little too late !!
I'm very sorry to read that you did not have a good experience whilst visiting Albert's. I am glad however that the site manager Damon (who was the manager with the beard) spoke to you on the evening, I do hope that this experience will not prevent you from visiting Albert's again in the future, Karen
Very upset about my visit. I am highly allergic to diary. I received the allergy menu I wanted the cod dish but it said it contained milk. It had Bombay potatoes which usually do have diary in them. I ordered the fish told the waiter about my allergy again and asked for plain veggies with it rather than the rice and the potatoes. I said I didn’t want the potatoes full stop the rice I wasn’t fussed on I was fine with a side of veg - making sure it wasn’t coated in butter. My meal came with the potatoes and rice I sent it back saying I ordered veg I didn’t like this - the same meal then came back saying the chef had made it dairy free. It was not what I wanted or ordered I was very upset and embarrassed to send it back again. I did not eat the sides and I would have ordered a side of veg. So upset it made me feel very uncomfortable, not what myself or my husband wanted it to be
Thank you for review Danielle, I'm sorry if you felt like the team didn't listen to you during your visit regarding your main course. I have spoken to the kitchen team and the chef did make you the potatoes with no dairy, they thought they were being helpful by trying to give you the dairy free potatoes so that you didn't have to feel like you had an altered dish, so you could experience the flavour of how the dish was designed. They do apologise if that made you feel uncomfortable, Karen

Great food every time and the lunch menu is such good value. The waiters are always attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
