The restaurant has ample car parking and provides a picturesque environment for dining out with friends, family or colleagues.

Very noisy however service and food was nice. Would recommend based on the fact the restaurant was full and it was a Saturday night therefore noise is to be taken, was almost shouting volume however.

The starter was not good at all but the main made up for it. The staff were attentive but that’s no surprise as there was only two tables in.
We have been frequenting the place since it opened. The value is still outstanding, but the current menu is dull and restricted. Also the lift was not operational and this should not happen as the toilets are not on the restaurant floor level. One of our friends has mobility problems and cannot use the stairs!

Great food and service but there is a door directly to the outside that is constantly left open. We ended up wearing coats when eating as we stood and closed the door every few minutes.
I would only recommend this great restaurant in the summer months until they change their policy on access to outside for smokers (ie use the main doors and leave this one closed).
This was our second visit that was ruined by this!

A very pleasant place. Nice stroll along the canal towpath from Deansgate Station and Tram stop. Staff attentive and helpful. Arranged a place for my wheelchair seat and good disabled toilet facilities. Great choice of food with a good vegan menu as well as gluten free. We had food from both the full and vegan menu and all were excellent. Lunchtime is great value for money.
Really good visit again this was my 4th visit, only slight negative was the desserts, the Eccles cakes were pale and could have done with being longer, the poached pear trifle said it came with creme anglaise (custard) but this didn’t and had no Christmas pudding aspect either so basically pear and cream but the service was excellent along with the other 2 courses 😊
New Year’s Eve is always going to be a stressful one for any restaurant but it just didn’t hit the mark for me. It was expensive, food felt rushed, didn’t order drinks until our main had nearly finished, the music was a bit of a downer, tables on the terrace after midnight still had leftover food on them, the card machine didn’t work so we hung around for 45mins into our new year, the service at our table was pretty poor. The waiter seemed stressed an inexperienced. The fireworks were good although brief. Then went into Dukes for the new year party couldn’t get served at the bar as it was so busy and not enough staff. Such a shame as I’d heard great things about Alberts shed at New year, just a bit disappointed.

We booked it for New Year Eve because we had great Time there for 2017 new year eve, but we were very disappointed as our dinner was delayed near 1 hour, my partner had to picked up our drinks by himself From bar for our main courses after orderin it 45 mins ago. Service was very poor and unprofessional compared to normal time. We will definitely avoid to go there during holiday time in future.

The overall evening was ok my only couple of disappointments were the piano player was just way to loud we could not hear each other speak whilst eating our meal. The outside Door kept getting left open which left a very cold draught to which we complained about to be told there was nothing could be done !
We bought tickets to go into Dukes bar afterwards which was very disappointing as it was like a youth club and not catered for anybody over the age of 25.
The staff made us wait in the smoking area outside in the cold for over half a hour as our table wasn’t ready on time. It just felt very rushed. Never even offered us a drink whilst we waited. Very poor customer service. Will not be going again. shame really as it’s usually a lovely place to dine.

I was very disappointed with my recent trip to Alberts Shed.
I chose the gluten free turkey dinner because I wanted the stuffing that was on the gluten free menu. I was very disappointed when my turkey dinner came without stuffing or brussel sprouts. I asked for the missing items and was told the stuffing isn’t gluten free (despite it being on the separate gluten free menu)! I was given the forgotten sprouts a few minutes later.
The service was very slow and on three occasions drinks were forgotten and we had to ask for them repeatedly.
We are disappointed to read this review, we never wish any guest to leave the restaurant unhappy. I'm very sorry that you did not receive the gluten free stuffing and that your sprouts were late. I will certainly be going through your feedback with the management team so that they can address the slow service also, Karen
The service was excellent and our waitress was lovely and attentive. The food as always was top class and red hot, very enjoyable. I would of given five stars had there not been problem with our booking, even though I had received a confirmation email which I showed to them and they found us a table. I am unsure if this was the fault of Albert Shed or open table but this was the reason I couldn't give it top marks.
A fabulous meal prior to heading to a show.. food was absolutely stunning, I had the duck, wife had the rabbit gnocchi for starters. Absolutely stunning. Blade of bef and sirloin for mains, amazing. Really, really friendly waitress who encouraged me to have the banoffee Martininfor dessert and it didnt disappoint! An absolute 1st class dining experience made all.the better by our server Alessandra .

Sunday roast usually very good, this time poor, nice meat but poor trimmings two small Brussels and messy veg, won't be having Sunday roast again.

Would recommend as really good food but prefer Didsbury as better atmosphere. The toilets however not so good, smell and dirty.

Myself and 6 friends went to Albert’s Shed for our Xmas get together. Although the restaurant was very busy the service was excellent and we were very well looked after. All of the food was delicious! The prawns and short rib were partially spectacular! The wine and cocktails were also great!
We have been to Albert's Shed several times and have never had cause for complaint until this visit. Our table was booked for 5:00pm and we were told we had a two hour slot. 30 minutes into our visit we had to ask for the drinks we had ordered at 5:00pm. Our starters arrived roughly 45 minutes after we arrived - not good. Our main course looked amazing but the meat and vegetables were cold, as if the plates had sat on the passe for too long. We did not complain because we could not attract the attention of our waiter in what was a very busy service time. We then waited and waited and waited for our desserts. Finally, our waiter came to apologise and said he had asked the manager to deduct the price of our desserts from our bill. This is the only time in our years of eating out that we had drunk our coffee before our desserts arrived. We were then told the kitchen staff were also cooking for the partner restaurant and there was a very large booking which resulted in the kitchen being "blocked." If a kitchen cannot cope with producing food in a timely manner for the number of bookings it has taken, it is quite simple ...... do not book so many people in at the same time. Thus, our visit to Albert's Shed fell far short of the mark for several reasons and on this occasion we were not at all impressed. We also went well over our two hour slot, meaning other diners had to wait for our table. This was supposed to be our special Christmas meal. Sad to say, it was not special at all.

The service was very poor. Our table of 7 was crammed next to where food was coming out of the kitchen and was very hectic. On arrival it took a long time before we were offered a drink. First course they forgot one of the dishes and had to be reminded. Main course half the group got served then we waited 5 mins for the rest to be served and again one dish very late and we had to remind the staff.
The wine we ordered which we served ourselves.
We were having a final drink which we had to flag down someone to order. Then another member of staff basically said we needed to leave due to them being busy. We asked for the bill and then waited 20 mins to get it. Very disappointing evening

On arrival we were offered a table that was completely unsuitable for 5 people. When we mentioned this to the waiter he immediately offered to allocate us a bigger table, which, whilst we had to wait for around 20 minutes, he kept us informed and updated regularly of the situation. We couldn't have asked for a better service by our waiter once we moved and we were given a complementary bottle of wine for the inconvenience.
It was very busy as expected on the last friday before xmas, but staff where very friendly, and the food was amazing!
The lunch menu was perfect for us as usual. A great experience.

Attended for our Christmas lunch and was a very enjoyable dining experience, there was a slight confusion with our order but the staff were very helpful and kindly offered a free bottle of Prosecco for our table.
We would definitely come back next year and the food was amazing and fantastic value.

The staff were over run a bit but the main guys serving us were very good, however drinks took a while to come from the bar and food - despite our pre order- was a while too. I regret ordering the Xmas Dinner option as it was clearly pre set up and did not rival the normal menu food. Noise was incredibly high too
