Al Biernat's - Oak Lawn
Worth every dollar
Fantastic experience for a birthday celebration!
If we could please have a table by the window in the main dining room. We look forward to dining with you, again, as always. Regards, Demetri, Maria, Alexandra and Demetrios Lahiri.
It was excellent on every level. I will be back on my next rip to Dallas..
Excellent everything as always!
I have eaten all over the world and I must say the food here is some of the best I have ever eaten I highly recommend the sea bass and the crab cakes absolutely incredible
The booth was perfect but it was a bit too warm. Would have loked better air circulation directed in that area.
Everything else was perfect. Thanks.
Came in to meet a friend for the Cowboys/ Giants game on Sunday. I am a huge LSU fan and my buddy wanted to have dinner at Al’s on Saturday evening. LSU playing Texas mind you. When we arrived we sat in the bar area for few to watch some of the game. The hostess noticed and made arrangements for us to have a booth in the bar area so I could watch my Tigers. We beat Texas BTW 😊
Exquisite meal and dessert, with an amazing atmosphere that me and my wife enjoyed. Waiter was great and can’t wait to go back again.
My steak charred outside medium rare inside
Like always. Burned and well done on inside.
They redid charred - burned and flavorless inside.
Manhattan not right first time- bulliet Up
Second time perfect
Fantastic as always
Great food and energy. Bring your conversation.
This was my first time at Al's at the recommendation of a new friend saying it was the best restaurant in Dallas. After eating there, I tend to agree...Al's was Excellent in every way! There service was great, the drinks were great and my filet was excellent - cooked perfectly medium rare! I will definitely go back to Al's next time I'm in Dallas!
Truly a great place to dine ,especially for a special occasion or for dinner with clients
Cowboy Cut Ribeye was delicious accompanied with peppercorn sauce and sweet potato puree and a delicious Bordeaux BTG, would recommend it as well as Cold Water Lobster Tail, Lobster Risotto and Brussels, all wonderful. Paired 20yr Tawny with Pecan Pie for dessert and loved it. Service was more than accomodating.
Very nice. Excellent Service and delicious food.
Good Restaurant Week dinner. Appetizers and Dessert was different than we expected by the descriptions, but good. Entrees if Salmon with crab and beef tenderloin were outstanding. We hope to return soon.
Service was confusing.. we were brought food menus when we sat and first time we were visited by our server, he asked if we had decided on anything. We asked for drink menus and he brought us the wine menu but no cocktail menu. Finally another server brought us a cocktail menu and then became our defacto server though we hardly saw him either. The original guy just wandered through the restaurant seemingly clueless and not visiting us. Went in fully expecting to spend $$$ on a great experience. Food was reasonable, not fantastic for the price but you’d expect to have some sort of service for that kind of experience. Way over rated... there are much better steak houses in Dallas, where you can get the type of service for the money you are spending. Food was much better than the service.
We really enjoyed our experience everything was very timely our waiters Joe and Forest where Witty and funny and very helpful service was great our food made it on time. My only complaint was my seating which was inside and it was very loud in the area I was sitting and couldn’t really have a conversation without yelling. I brought this to the attention of the hostess and asked her if she could move us to the patio and she graciously accommodated my request and the rest of the night was great we could hear eat drink and enjoy one another so thank you again for having such of A professional staff. Look forward to visiting again. Mr. Hawkins
We have eaten at the restaurant maybe six times and the steaks weren’t cooked properly this time. It could have been an off night for the cook. Overall it was still a good experience.
1 out of 4 of us had steak. The filet was perfect. The others had salmon, boiled shrimp, and pasta with chicken. All were excellent. Potatoes au gratin, sautéed spinach were great as sides and chocolate cake with chocolate chip Ice cream for dessert was the perfect ending.
Service was timely and friendly and the cocktails and wine were excellent.
Valet parking could not have been better. We’re looking forward to going back soon.
Visited last night to try the Restaurant Week Menu. It was super packed and the main dinning room had an essence of the chef's best. Our server, Kim, was the best!!! Her personality was refreshing and energy was so not expected. She kept a smile on out faces right up to the time we stood from the table She suggested the Watermelon Basil and Berry Martinis. Great ideaOur 3 course meal (which I "thought" wouldn't be enough for me) was quite fulfilling. No photos of 1st course BUT, the Crab I guess it was alright That salmon plate tho, let me tell you... It melted on my palette and made me feel all warm and cozy inside as Kim witnessed when I touched my chest and rolled my eyes I had to taste the dessert, but ended up having to take it to go. Great date nite to start an amazing weekend.
An amazing dinning experience with quality service and phenomenal food!
Our server, Glenn, was energetic and helpful. The food and atmosphere were outstanding. It os always a great experience to dine at Al Biernat’s. I don’t miss the opportunity whenever I am in Dallas. It is a scene with excellent food and service.
We have been to Al Biernat's many times over the years and this was, by far, the worst experience we have had. The service was really the most disappointing. We were there with another couple and, first of all, we didn't get water or our drinks for some time. Our water was not filled regularly as well. The server could have worked at any chain restaurant, but not Al Biernat's, where you go for quality service and an extremely knowledgeable wait staff. The food was good, but not worth the poor service. I'm hoping to hear things have changed for the better and then we'll come back and try it again.
Food and service was excellent. Problem is it is so noisey that you have to yell to be heard at your own table.
Great food!! A great steakhouse in town, way better quality and experience than most Dallas Steakhouses! I got a filet and my dad got a lobster special and both were amazing!
I/we haven't been here in 14 years, but we couldn't figure out why, we'll definitely will be coming back sooner rather than later. Went for Restaurant Week, however, none of us was overly excited about what was on that menu, so we ordered off the regular menu and we were in for a treat. The crab corn chowder was OK, I've had better at other restaurants and on the east coast. But my filet Oscar was pretty darn delicious. At first it was under cooked......I sent it back and it came out absolutely perfect. Also my wife (and our friend) had the sea bass and she and our friend said it was the best they've had in the metroplex. And I'd have to agree. The fish was great and so was the lobster risotto that comes with it. Mattie (Maddy?) our server was excellent and we picked out the perfect wine. If I have any little nit-pick, and I know this makes me sound like some old 'get off my lawn' guy, but the website says the attire is business casual and there is a sign just inside the door that says elegant casual, however I saw several patrons there with flip-flops, shorts, and t-shirts (although most people were appropriately dressed). I know they're trying to serve a diverse crowd but when I drop several hundred dollars for a meal at a classy place like that I like to see places uphold their standards.
Outstanding as always
Amazing Food . Great place for an evening dinner. I am gald came doing DFW Restaurant week 2019.
My wife and I have gone to Al Biernat’s several times for family celebrations. The food is always good and we enjoy our time. I also appreciate the quality standards this restaurant always keeps. We will be back.
Expensive, but great for a special event.
Had an incredible brunch experience. Now time to try dinner.
We have been to this Al Biernat’s several times and this was an unusually poor experience. We waited 45 min to place our orders. The scene that night was mass confusion. They brought out the wrong orders. Forgot about our special occasion. It seemed like a restaurant that had just opened and hadn’t worked out the kinks. Very disappointed because this was one of our favorites. :(
This was our annual Restaurant Week visit to Al’s. The dinner was delicious and Sean was an excellent waiter!!
Really enjoyed the meal, wine pairing and our waiter was lovely. It was a little loud as it was a busy Saturday night. The food was superb including the mushroom risotto, steak and dessert.
The staff couldn’t have been more accommodating! Food is always fantastic and so is the service, but on this particular night it was my friend’s surprise birthday dinner. The hostess escorted us to the table which was hidden in a private dining room at the back of the restaurant. My friend was so surprised! What a memorable evening! Thank you for making it so special!
