Afternoon Tea at The Biltmore
This tea, including the lovely live harp music and the gracious formal tea service, is well worth the price paid. The setting is lovely and the table photogenic. It's a special place for a bit of a splurge.
We had a wonderful, relaxing afternoon. The harp player and server were both fabulous!
Amazing experience. My sister and I loved spending our birthday there.
Loved the experience and attention to detail by Nestor. Thank you for making it so special for our 5 year old as well by serving her apple juice in a tea cup and singing her happy birthday! Truly magical
The ambiance is beautiful, the service excellent, but the quality of the food did not meet expectations
The space and experience are exquisite. The food was excellent— more unusual in combinations than I was expecting, which was more interesting but less palatable. (For example, there were cucumber sandwiches but they were marinated cucumbers and another vegetable, which I didn’t care for... and deviled eggs that my kids loved but I did not because of an unusual spice and blue cheese topping.).
The desserts were really delicious. I loved having traditional clotted cream for scones, but I’d have preferred a basic scone rather than a chocolate chip one so that I could enjoy a traditional scone/cream/jam combination. In all, the food was excellent, if unexpected.
We were told that the menu varies seasonally. I didn’t look for it, but my only suggestion would be to find the menu online before going, as it’s not quite as traditional as I had expected, and I could see that being a disappointment if you are expecting more traditional sandwiches and petit fours.
The service was great after we got seated. It’s not obvious where to check in to be seated, though, so we wandered a bit and had to wait a few minutes for the one and only person working the room. She was lovely and helpful, and made the experience that much more special.
The music was beautiful but quite loud. It was difficult to speak with my kids without shouting. (Strange for a harp, so I suspect it’s just the acoustics in the space or our seats close to the musician.). Be prepared that conversation won’t be as easy as expected, or perhaps request a table further from the musician if your hope is to engage in extended conversation.
Also, please note to check your bill before adding gratuity. They added an automatic gratuity for our party of three, which I found unusual. I don’t mind it but would certainly have double tipped had I not checked.
In all, a lovely experience.
Amazing service and wonderful ambiance
We had a beautiful experience at the Biltmore Afternoon Tea. The space was really beautiful and the service was great. Overall, a great experience.
Tea time at the Biltmore was honestly such an amazing experience! I highly recommend going to Tea time! Food was amazing make sure to try the raspberry macaroons they were the best things that I have ever had!!! 5Starts all around!
Nestor is the best waiter. The harpist was amazing. Perfect experience for my moms birthday:)
I’m an avid afternoon tea goer and I felt compelled to leave a review because Izzy and the harpist were so incredible. Izzy provided top notch customer service no matter how busy it was. She was Extremely thoughtful, pleasant and attentive. The harpist is so lovely both in talent and demeanor. She really makes the experience unique and memorable!!
The perfect setting for afternoon tea. The harp music sets the ambiance - relaxing and sophisticated. The food was in abundance. We couldn’t finish. And I loved the peppermint tea. Overall a wonderful experience
Amazing hotel, amazing setting. Food and drinks fantastic. Staff could not do enough for us. A must for anyone visiting Miami.
Wonderful experience! Our server, Nestor was just terrific! The harpist was very good too!
This was such a lovely experience! The environment was breathtaking! Their was a lady playing the harp which added to the feel of the event. The food was delicious and the service was amazing!
Wonderful place for tea. Everything was impeccable
Amazing high tea service, food and tea selections were outstanding all while being serenaded by harp.
Not a tea fan but tea recommended by waiter was perfect for me. This was a special occasion (52nd anniversary) and our experience as exceptional. Food was very good but a little more food and a little less sweets would be better.
Nestor was a very special server. We especially enjoyed the harpist.
I loved my experience at The Biltmore. Though vegetarian options were limited, the wait staff went above and beyond to ensure that my guest and I were accommodated. Service was excellent and I appreciated that both servers were so warm and approachable. The food was delicious, especially the desserts. I went for my birthday and was touched by the special surprise during service. I would highly recommend! I can't wait to go back!
Excellent service, very good venue and very good food. Thought the food was pricey for what was served. Total of bill included gratuity and resort tax. The resort tax should be mentioned prior to the visit. Parking was also challenging. Didn't realize that valet parking would be validated.
I took my two kids and we had an amazing time! Great Experience!
The service was excellent; Nestor is the king of afternoon tea; perfect job for him; food excellent; will return for sure.
Again thanks Nestor
Loved my experience, the light sandwiches and desserts were better than expected! They satisfied this foodie, yummm! The tea selection and taste were on point. Our server was great at offering a selection of teas that went well with Prosecco :) Perfect event for a special celebration or just because you want to get a little fancy.
Our server, Izzy, made the entire experience much more memorable, with her excellent and pleasant service. Will go back with more friends.
Absolutely wonderful! Highly recommend. Beautiful setting and ambiance. The harpist was just the perfect touch. Our tea coordinator was so helpful and knowledgeable. Made my daughter’s 25th birthday vey special!
A beautiful way to spend an afternoon. The tea was elegantly presented by knowledgeable and attentive
servers. There was beautiful live harp music in the background. Who could ask for more?
Afternoon Tea is an annual event for me and my friends, this is our 3rd year and we do love it. Our waitress, Izzy did a wonderful job of explaining the food. She was pleasant and professional, charming and helpful. The food was different this year and we loved it. What a wonderful way to celebrate the holiday season. We will be back.
Lovely afternoon with the ladies in this splendid spot
Lovely time. Izzy and Ernesto were great at service. The holiday themed foods were also quite creative
Excellent and elegant high tea in a beautiful setting and with plenty of food.
Our server was magnificent. The experience was memorable
The food was delicious but I gave 3 stars for the tea. They used to serve Kusmi teas which were far superior. The new brand of tea seemed ver commercial.
Beautiful hotel! Went for my birthday, the food and service was great. It was a little too loud to enjoy a quiet tea. Lots of dishes clanging, things being dropped and just overall seemed very noisy.
Staff were TOP Notch!
Food disappointing. No tea sandwiches. Very heavy items such as scones with chocolate chips (not good), overly savory scones, rugelach (strange item for high tea), deviled eggs.
Not a delicate selection.
Server was excellent. Very charming.
Nestor made it the most wonderful experience . Had so much fun. Amazing food
Delicious! Everything was wonderful. I love afternoon tea service and this was one of the best. The harpist was really awesome and added so much to the ambiance. The staff were all very helpful and I especially liked the white glove service. The Biltmore Hotel is a definite must see too. An all around fantastic afternoon.
We have enjoyed and experienced Afternoon Tea in grand hotels around the world. Many were good and some were outstanding(The Peninsula in Hong Kong for example). However The Biltmore was the best and Nestor, the Maitre D should be especially congratulated for his role.
Izzy is the best! We’ve had her twice now and she remembers us and is always in such a great mood!
