A Toute Heure
Sunday Supper @ ATH
Sunday Supper is the start of a new tradition at A Toute Heure that takes equal parts from the history of the restaurant as well as the heritage of the chef and owners. We think that food is a shared experience, and building a sense of community and connection is as integral to the meal as the ingredients! The three course meal begins at 6:30pm and the theme changes every month - bring a nice bottle of wine and you’re set!

Came for the Dutch Baby pancakes during brunch but the website hasn't been updated and they dont have them anymore. apparently the main chef left a few months ago too. Their french toast is fried, which is tasty, but too oily. I dunno. Maybe dinner is better?
Fabulous prepared and presented meal. Server was outstanding and knew menu very well. Chef prepared all of our dishes just perfect. Thank you to the new chef Michael D for welcoming us.
The restaurant called to say they did not have enough staff to open so they cancelled our reservation. Very disappointed
The menu is very limited, and we thought it was over priced. One of our entrees was a beef pot pie priced at close to $40. It was bland with mostly potatoes and chick peas and very little meat. The restaurant was very empty when we went on a Thursday night, so the service was great! The waitresses were very pleasant.
Our dinner was delicious the service was excellent it was a perfect anniversary celebration for my husband and I and my sister and brother-in-law
Fantastic meal start to finish. The signature mussels were a great starter. My wife had wild boar gnocchi. My main was black bass, my wife had duck enough to feed an army. Our dessert was sublime sweet potato beignets. Wonderful meal. Service was a little slow but friendly and helpful.
The tone was set immediately, wait staff couldn’t have been nicer, then the chef came out to speak with us. I know it sounds odd, but the bread/rolls were absolutely the best we’ve ever had. We skipped appetizers, went straight to entrees. The Pot pie(pork, collared green and sweet potatoes) were terrific. The pastry on top was outstanding. The mussels is their signature dish and the sauce is best we’ve ever had and that includes Brugge, Belgium. Great night out
Loved our server and so happy I could swap out brussel sprouts for collard greens
We had lunch at A Toute Heure. I saw a lunch menu on line but when I got there the menu was very limited. The manager explained they were in the process of updating the menu and they will be correcting the on line menu. Lucky for me there was a lobster roll on the menu which I enjoyed. The food is delicious with good service but they need a menu with more lunch selections.
I've generally liked the food and service since the change in ownership, but had a bad experience last night after showing up promptly for my 8PM reservation and being forced to wait 20 minutes for a table, despite the fact that there were 2 open tables when we arrived. Predictably, one of the open tables remained open well after we finally got some food on the table, over 30 minutes after arriving, so we waited for absolutely no reason. Our server was excellent, but the hostess was ineffective and unapologetic. I had the steak, teres major. Pretty good, but too lean, lacked flavor. Everything else was delicious.
We celebrated our anniversary and it was excellent
The dinner we had at A Toute Heure was the best we’ve had in a while. To say the food was delicious is an understatement. Adam was terrific! Will be back again eagerly awaiting seasonal menu changes.
We’ve eaten at Toute Heure before, but the kitchen was sadly off the mark the Saturday evening we went—cold mussels, mushy fish, and overcooked vegetables. Hopefully an anomaly.
Food was excellent, small menu but something for everyone. Service was excellent, server was extremely helpful and knew menu extremely well,
Ecletic menu selection, delicious, friendly and efficient service
This restaurant came to us highly recommended and it absolutely exceeded our expectations. Food was incredible (especially the gnocchi and mussel pot) and the service was outstanding. Can not wait to go back and tell our friends to visit too!
We are soooo happy the original ATH mussels are back and the wonderful local farm to table vibe is still alive at A Toute Heure
We celebrated my husband’s birthday, and it was lovely. Food was very good, casual, and friendly atmosphere.
Ordered the Parker House French toast, Salmon and Eggs Benedict and a side of bacon. All delicious. Food was served quick and the server was attentive about replenishing coffee. Very pleasant experience. We will be back.
Great experience from the greeting to the delicious dessert. Definitely will dine here again.
The dining space was discreet and cozy, perfect for a date. Service was welcoming and attentive. The appetizers were well balanced and the proteins were cooked to perfection. Ask for the Sangria if they have it because it is a well mixed drink.
I had the pate which taste a little like humus. The scallops were fresh and excellent.
Delicious! Loved the ATH mussels and the chicken was so good!
Had an excellent dinner the other evening. This is truly a gem to the Cranford community.
We had a delicious brunch!! Everything was fresh and well made. Our servers were attentive. Can’t wait to try this restaurant again for dinner. Go! You won’t be disappointed!
If you live in NJ you need to go. If you don’t live in NJ move there, so you can go. I absolutely love this place.
Entrees were great, but they need to find someone who knows how to properly shuck oysters.
I have been here twice now and both experiences went excellent. Not only was the service amazing but the food was like no other. I had the A.T.H pot which was very filling and the sauce at the bottom went perfect with the mussels and bread. We were treated very well and the chef came out to check on us which was very nice. Had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone. I will definitely be going again soon!
I had the fishcake that was too "fishy for me. The grilled onions on top were cold. My daughter liked the salad, the coffee is fine, and the carrot cake was also VG.
Menu is small. Veg plate salty
A quiant restaurant, a humble atmosphere, dishes that reminded me of home; a familiarity. A place of ejoyment, at any time.
My husband and I popped in for a late morning brunch a couple of weeks ago and instantly loved everything about this cozy little spot we discovered. The servers were so friendly and attentive and the food was seriously way beyond our expectations. We returned for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and once again the service was fantastic and our meal was phenomenal. Everything we ordered was on point and well presented. We were surprised when the chef came out of the kitchen to talk to groups of diners. He obviously cares about customer satisfaction, and it certainly added a personal touch to our dining experience when Chef Andrew came over to our table. Now on our list of favorite places to dine, we are excited to come back for the Sunday Supper event.
Our first visit... one of the most pleasant evenings and dining experiences of the year.
Adam, our waiter, couldn't have been better... pleasant, knowledgeable, attentive without being annoying or intrusive. Chef stopped by ... BYO is a plus.
A little pricey but excellent local products handled respectfully... to bring out their best.
Plan on going back though from out of area.
Amazing as always... So glad Andrew is back.. BEST chef EVER!! 😋
We have eaten at this eatery many time in the past but it had been a while since our last visit. The Waite staff was friendly but less than attentive. We ordered a dozen oysters as our appetizer but when the plate was delivered to the table we were not provided any utensils to eat them with. After quite a few try's to get the attention of our waitress I had to get up and go to the front of the restaurant and ask for the utensils. I was given a look of bewilderment but the utensils were delivered to our table within a few seconds of when I got back to the table.
We ordered the mussel pot and the special of the day, bouillabaisse. The mussel pot was a generous portion but underwhelming. The broth was a bit tasteless, unfortunately, because the toast wedges for dipping were delicious. The fish stew could better be described as bean soup. There were only a few small pieces of fish in the bowl and about 8 tiny mussels whos meat was missing from half of them. Again I had to get the attention of our waitress as she failed to provide a spoon to eat the soup with.
This trip was not the pleasant experience that we had hoped for.
The food was very good at Toute Heure and the wait staff was very friendly and nice but I'd warn people that the restaurant is not up to the high standards it aspires to have and was quite disappointing. On Saturday night the room was over air conditioned and quite cold, the room was not well ventilated and smelled bad and they played loud top-40 style pop music which felt really cheap and out of place. We ended up asking to sit outside which is was fine but you're sitting on a suburban street with cars going by which is not exactly luxurious. We waited two hours for our main dishes, which were very good but totally not worth the time and the cost and the hike to Cranford. Not sure what happened to this place. I had the feeling the owner wasn't around and was letting it slip. Too bad!
The food is unreal!
This is the second time we have been here. The first time was much better. The ac was not working. The food was not very hot. There was a very long pause between our starters and our entree’s.
The food was tasty would have been fabulous if it was hot
It was a disappointing experience compared to the last time we were there
Casual, neighborhood vibe. Staff is friendly and genuine. They really seem to care about the food and know quite a bit about the menu. Had the burrata, the mussel pot, and the cheesecake - all delicious!
Creative yummy menu, excellent service, attention to detail, very pleasant surroundings. Our server was awesome and answered all our questions. Had the ATH mussel pot which I am happy to see on the menu again. Food so amazing we can’t wait to go back!
