Not sure if it’s was because it was a groupon deal, the the menu of choice was poor and we have had better value for our groupon. I was disappointed as I choose this restaurant due to the reviews, but the I wish I hadn’t gone now it was to surprise my partner, the portions were small and basic and we felt hungry after.. so we won’t be returning
Food wasnt anything special at all, we went there with a Groupon that was gifted to us for Christmas. I was dissapointed with the food, but would have been more so if I had to pay for it. The portions were small and looked depressing, the meat was very dry and the vegetables looked like they'd been cooked days ahead and reheated.
Dear, I am sorry to hear that you were disappointed with your visit. Please can you contact me so we can discuss this further. Kind Regards Nikita Gordon F&B Supervisor
Very nicely decorated inside. Used a groupon deal for 2 pizzas and a side with drinks - very good value. The pizza could have been better as it tasted more shop bought than authentic.
Dear, We are glad to hear that you enjoyed your recent dining experience with us. I will pass your feedback on to the kitchen team regarding the quality of the pizzas. Kind Regards Nikita Gordon F&B Supervisor
This is our 4th visit... I don't think the food was as good as previously. The girls were lovely though...
Dear PamelaO I am sorry to hear that the food was not as good as your last visit. I am glad to hear that you enjoyed the service. Please can you contact me so we can discuss this further. Kind Regards Nikita Gordon F&B Supervisor
Tried to give us a sirloin instead of ribeye - when questioned they tried to say it’s definitely a ribeye (there’s a distinct visual difference) when a ribeye arrived 25 minutes later they were grey inside when two medium rares where requested. They took them back and our sides then return new steaks with the same sides (the mash had actually been pushed around to look new) apparently they had run out of mash...At a grill. Service was alright and polite. Kept apologising but we had to go get food elsewhere afterwards.
I was given some Groupon Vouchers for my Birthday so we decided to go on 11th Jan 2020. I'm always dubious about vouchers as some restaurants look after you as 2nd class citizens - if you know what I mean.
Yes I know the menu isn't the a la Carte and you get what you pay for and all that !!
The " voucher " menu had things we liked and you can't go wrong with a sirloin steak and fries :)) My other half is vegetarian and they only had one choice for a main. However we paid a £3 supplement which I was happy to do so she got a "very tasty" veggie burger.
The staff were very friendly and attentive, cocktails were nice as was the house red which was part of the deal.
We ate early at 18.00 which was quiet, there were a few people in there but throughout the night it got busier. I would hope the service would've been the same if we had reserved for 20.00 !! I have no doubt it still would've been good.
I would recommend this restaurant and the full menu prices and drinks weren't extortionate. We'll definitely try the place again.
New years eve meal. Very quiet, no atmosphere at all. Starters were nice but our main meal for both of us was just awful. Food was cold had to send back. Didn't taste that good either. Considering the restaurant was quiet... I'm not sure why the food was cold. We skipped desert as we felt it wasn't worth wasting any more money here
A nice meal on a cold winters day.
The staff were great and the food was nice. Nothing really bad to say. Lovely cocktails too.
Menu lacking, despite being virtually the only customers. Inexperienced staff left to manage alone
Dishes in menu not properly explained
Service painfully slow despite numerous people serving.
Substantial number of menu items missing.
Food arrived in instalments, some incomplete and some cold - albeit replaced at our request. The food that did arrive was tasty and well cooked.
Wouldn't dream of returning.
we booked for 4pm on a Saturday before, Christmas, we were the only customers in the restaurant, despite this it took an hour for our food to arrive with no apology or explanation.
The starter was partially inedible, the flat breads were burnt and dripping in grease as if they'd been cooked in a deep fat fryer. The main meal was salmon ,rice and pak choi, the rice was definately from a microwave packet, the salmon was dry and there was no pak choi on the plate.
The place started to fill up at 5pm and everyone arriving had a groupon voucher, i think the restaurant survives by issuing these vouchers, I definitely would not go again.
we arrived and was seated , the menu we could choose from was okay , the staff however seemed a little rude , they were moving tables around and speaking loudly to each other I did think some of the staff were not in agreement as to how the tables should of been set !
We ordered two deserts , that never came , I think they had forgotton about us we waited over 20 minutes so we left
Customer service was excellent - we were served by the same young man from takig our drinks order to paying the bill. He was very pleasant, chatty and welcoming.
The food was excellent, decent sized portions, very tasty and great value for money.
The starter was poorly presented. The main took over half an hour to come out and the steak was fatty. The desert took over 40 minutes to come and when it arrived, the sticky toffee pudding was freezing cold and the lemon meringue consisted of two meringue nests taken straight out of a box and swirled on top was a ‘split’ swirl of orange cream. It was Christmas time and no Christmas music.
There was no problem booking a table. The restaurant itself was a little on the dark side for me and looked a bit tired.
The staff were pleasant. We didn’t wait too long for our meal.
The meals were ok although they could have been served a little warmer. However the dessert (Chocolate brownie) was really nice.
Perhaps not the most memorable venue Manchester has to offer but for the price we paid not too bad
A good place to meet for a group that also wants to have a conversation around the table. Good food and service
The food was very good, and drink deals proved very successful with our party. It was very quiet in the restaurant which meant there wasn't much atmosphere.
Very friendly bar staff & really good cocktails. The food was very nice & reasonable , will definately be going back again .
Good food, great value for money in nice surroundings with good service. Will be back.
Food was good, though the shell on king prawns were very tasty I could have had a bowl to put the shells in and a finger bowl to rinse my hand. Food quality excellent, shame that there were only a few tables occupied. Will be going again.
The best rib eye steak I have eaten for a long time.
Food was good but was very overpriced as were the drinks. £23 for a steak and its doesn't even come with chips. we went in the afternoon for lunch and it was very quiet and there was no atmosphere. so two steaks and chips with 2 deserts one pint of larger and two glasses of of wine £88... never again
Arrived at this lovely restaurant. Had a nice ambiance. Ordered starters. Had to ask for balsamic vinegar for the oil, which had been on the menu. Mains arrived. Thick chips were hard, medium rare steak was rare. The seasonal veg was freezing cold. Sent it back to be warmed and cooked more. Came back the same. Didn’t eat it. Service was good and the poor waitress seemed embarrassed but kept professional. Would not recommend. Bill was £72. We’ve dined in better restaurants for half that price. Realized why the restaurant was empty.
Lovely food in a relaxed setting. We had warm bread and olives to start. I had a rib eye steak with chips red wine sauce and vegetables. It was one of the best steaks I’ve had for flavour. Husband had lamb which he enjoyed. Desserts were also good and with a 20 percent offer on food was good value.
We had a very pleasant lunch and I will definitely go back, the quality of the food was good. The waiting staff were very helpful and efficient.
A warm welcome from the staff, our friends were waiting for us at the bar. We ordered drinks and asked to be seated around to minutes later. The food was great and good value too. Superb I will be going there again next time we are in Manchester 🌟🌟 🌟🌟🌟
Went with a Groupon offer, £11 each for two courses and glass of wine. For the price we wernt expecting much, but it was excellent. Service was great, food was fab, the only complaint we had was that the glass of white wine offered was chardonnay, which is an acquired taste which none of the four of us have!! Other than that, great!
Did an itison voucher. The food was very good if a little limited. Would definitely go again without a voucher and recommend to others
Really good food at a reasonable price. Service from Denise was exceptional.
The food and service was ok but there was nobody in. It has zero atmosphere.
Was the nicest meal out in Mcr in ages!
Good choice of food on menus, lovely staff 2 for 1 cocktails until 8pm 👍
The food was nice but nothing special. We visited as part of restaurant week but the offer wasn't on the menu and a different menu with different prices on was shown to us when we came to order dessert. We had to ask for a spoon for my soup and for some more cutlery for the main when they weren't automatically brought. There are much better places you can eat in Manchester for a similar price and better food and service.
We were knackered from travel and thought the hotel restaurant would be a good shout. Wrong...the 'medium rare' fillet was charcoal so it was sent back. First time I've ever done that.
The sides were incredibly bland. In short, I can cook the same meal to a higher standard and I can assure you that nobody would pay restaurant prices for my cooking!
If you have the time to dine elsewhere, please do.
The place was almost completely empty, now I know why.
Food was average little overpriced. The place was really quiet no atmosphere. The waitress was lovely and very attentive.
I don't know whether this was a bad day but our experience was very poor. We ordered a dish from the nibbles menu expecting it to come straight away but when I asked when they would arrive I was told firmly that they came with the starters which we thought very odd and wouldn't have ordered the dish at all if we had know. We ordered chicken croquettes as a starter but the waitress told us don't have it - it's not our best and tried to push the prawn starter. We didn't have the chicken but didn't have the prawn either but I thought this was very unprofessional - just get us the croquettes and let us decide. We were the only people in the restaurant but it still took 25 minutes to bring the starters - the mains arrived immediately after the starters with hardly any gap!! The chicken should have been garlic flavoured but I could not taste any garlic and did not like the burnt flat leaf parsley it was smothered in. The fish was nice but the mushy peas had been microwaved to death - were molten hot but also dried up around the side of the pot they came in. The coleslaw was not at all nice and the battered onion strings were in fact onion rings clearly previously frozen - slaw and onion rings tasted very cheap and did not taste cooked in house. As we sat waiting for our starters there were waiting staff just standing around chatting in an empty restaurant - it gave a very bad impression - we won't come back.
Food was great, very well presented and tasted amazing. 2 4 1 cocktails before 8 was also a big plus. The only down side was the lack of people there, only 3 tables were taken including ourselves which was a shame.
Lovely decor in the bar and restaurant, 2-for-1 cocktail deal was great value too.
Food was nice
Spice Girls concert pre-meal!
A lovely find and would definitely recommend it was a shame we where the only diners !
Had a nice meal will definitely go again we were very surprised there wasn't more people in has we could not fault anything
