Fantastic quality food, well worth the little extra. The staff were very good and the service exceptional.

My wife and I have eaten several times previously at this restaurant, and never have we been disappointed. The food is of the highest quality, the staff are always friendly, and efficient, and the restaurant has a wonderful ambience and atmosphere. Not an inexpensive restaurant, but worth every penny.

Simply amazing food and service, very safe and can’t wait to visit again.

Excellent food and service - we opted for the chef's tasting menu and it was amazing.

We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and as always a very enjoyable evening at 21 First time taking advantage of the BOYOB night our meal still cost over £100 so a good saving but still worth I think Tuesday might become our new Saturday

Always a pleasure to dine at Cafe 21. Great for a special occasion or great for a great - especially if dining early with the fixed price menu. Service is always excellent but not too invasive.

We had a lovely family meal with some of the best food we have had in many years

Booked at the last minute when another lockdown imposed and our holiday next week was cancelled. Decided instead to treat ourselves. Delightful food, relaxed atmosphere and well spaced dining. Friendly attentive staff as always and we stayed for a drink after rather than go to a pub and as we didn’t have to return the table for another cover. A lovely treat.

More expensive than the usual but is so due to excellent food, superb service and a ver relaxed ambience. Still one of the best in Newcastle.

Another wonderful meal at restaurant 21. Food delicious and perfectly cooked, staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu - it’s good when they have sampled it and can give suggestions! We also felt very safe dining at Restaurant 21!

As ever we completely loved having dinner at 21. We’re both vegetarian and there’s always a lovely choice of dishes for us to enjoy. The cheese soufflé was the best I’ve ever tasted!
It’s such a relaxed, happy atmosphere suitable for so many occasions and the staff are always helpful and friendly.

I was quite surprised how close the tables were to each other but having gone at lunchtime the restaurant wasn’t too busy but the food wine and service was excellent we really enjoyed our lunch

A fantastic ambiance created by the staff and the fit out. Food was great and we were given a take out box for apple tarte Tatin for 2 which was phenominal. An experience we are looking forward to repeating already!

Another excellent meal at Cafe 21 with a lovely seasonal menu. A real treat to eat out and feel very safe in these weird times.

After visiting several times and had a enjoyable experience this last visit unfortunately did not meet expectations. The main problem being service , terrible from start to finish and terrible attitude from server when asked for a drinks list .

The food was exceptional, the staff were absolutely brilliant, all covid measures were really well executed, we had a lovely Sunday lunch, it will definitely be our place for Sunday lunch in the North East in future!

£32 for a ‘special’ lunch seemed excessive.
Other restaurants in the city with similar service levels, equal quality of food and equal or better atmosphere price their lunch menus at a notably lower level.
We felt that the whole experience was somewhat below expectations.
